Applicants may submit their application via email at sbe@sbe.ca.gov or online at 2025-26 SBE Student Applications.

Every summer, the Governor appoints one high school senior to the State Board of Education (SBE) for a one-year term. The student member functions as a regular voting member of the SBE. This page contains links to the invitation memo, application form, poster and brochure which contain information about the selection processes.
