For your listening pleasure - more fascinating programmes which aired recently on CBC Radio 1

Inside the strange and world-changing kingdom of fungi. Listen to this interview of Merlin Sheldrake, biologist and author of a new book called Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds and Shape Our Futures.
It’s sure to blow your mind!
------------------------------------
Sit there and do nothing. “Mindfulness doesn’t have to be serious! Join host Meg Lewis as she turns you into a relaxed blob through part-useful, part-comedic guided meditations, stories, affirmations, and other weirdly soothing experiences. Perfect for easing your anxiety and putting you into a better mood”.
Elaine enjoyed listening to “Affirmation: I am a likeable person”. Scroll down the page and click away! We all need affirmation right now, so relax and enjoy!
 ---------------------------------
A new kind of produce can be found right here. Hamidou Horticulture brings vegetables and herbs from Niger and other parts of Africa and Amerindian countries.
“Connecting farmers and city-dwellers - Eat local, healthy, and seasonal foods! The Farmer’s Market, a project led by the non-profit organization House of Friendship, offers seasonal, local food products sold directly by producers. Fill your basket with cheese, meat, vegetables, bread, pastries, flowers, honey, and maple syrup around the Laurier metro station. This is also an excellent opportunity to find out more about sustainable production as well as the environmental and social impact of these initiatives”.
When: Thursdays (3 p.m. to 7 p.m.).
Where: Laurier metro station, at Place du Côteau-Saint-Louis, between Berri and Rivard Streets.

Also, to see a short video Elaine has put together with photos she took at last summer’s powwow: https://elainebacal.zenfolio.com/p455462170 .
Click on the thumbnail entitled “Magic of the Powwow”. The video will play automatically, but make sure your speakers are on to hear the dynamic music accompanying the video. Enjoy!
