We are an orthodontic office located in Factoria Blvd, Bellevue (Happysmilewashington.com). We have many families that come to our office to get a better smile and improve their teeth. Among them, it is particularly enjoyable to be working with teenagers and children in the life-changing experience. As we go through their treatment, that typically takes a couple of years, we get to build a very special connection with all of our patients. We share the moment of growth, achievements, as well as the difficulties and challenges the young students often have in their lives.
Dr Sung remembers the time he was a student. Spending part of his school years in Korea, and coming from a family that could not support him financially, Dr Sung had to work for scholarships. The help he received from relatives or neighbors also helped him tremendously. During college years, Dr. Sung also had to earned his tuition by tutoring middle school or high school students. Teaching students during those years opened up his eyes. The young boys and girls he taught would inspire him with their imaginations and endless possibilities. That is how he thought one day he would like to support the growing children, just the way he got help from people around him.
Washington Orthodontics scholarship funds was made by Dr. Sung’s vision and for the purpose of helping the students that will be our future leaders. There is nothing more valuable than a young students dreams, aspiration, and the kind heart. We believe our small support will be sowing seeds that will grow to become a magnificent tree someday.
