Juniper Kim is a comics artist, printmaker, and writer who explores identity and aesthetics by mixing mediums, experimenting with hybrid forms, and designing books holistically.
A recent graduate of the Center for Cartoon Studies, they have published work in The Comics Journal, Catapult, Black Warrior Review, and more. In 2022, their self-published comic Koreans Sing in English was nominated for an Ignatz Award in the “Promising New Talent” category, and also won a MICE Mini-Grant.
She is currently drawing a graphic novel called New Koreatown and working at a letterpress and bookbinding workshop. She will be pursuing a graphic novel project in Seoul, Korea as a Fulbright grantee starting in 2024.
