Welcome back, Dallas ISD. The new school year is upon us, and I’m honored to serve you for a second year as your Superintendent of Schools. Last year, we accomplished a lot together thanks to the best teachers in Texas and an excellent team of educators and administrators. This year we will make more progress toward realizing our vision of educating all students for success, and we’re going to do this in part by ending test prep, eliminating weeks’ worth of unnecessary assessments, and returning control of classrooms back to teachers so they can inspire our students. We look forward to making this an exceptional year for our students with you.
