Volunteer
Our volunteers are the greatest asset of Eastside Friends of Seniors. They are what makes our organization special and unique. Our volunteers provide so much more than a ride, or help around the house. They connect with and care for our seniors, forming relationships and staving off social isolation and loneliness.
It's easy to volunteer with Eastside Friends of Seniors! You can choose the volunteer activity
that is best suited for you, and volunteer when it is convenient for you.
(Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of 2-5 hours of service monthly, for at least 6 months.
All volunteers must be 16+ and drivers 21+.)
Volunteer Opportunities
Transportation
We need volunteers to drive seniors to medical appointments, for grocery shopping, and to access other essential services.
House and Yard Assistance
Help an elderly person with light housekeeping, organizing, errands, small repairs and yardwork.
Specialized Support
Share your unique talents - such as expertise in IT, home repairs, website design, fundraising, and administrative tasks.
Companionship
Spend time, in person or over the phone, with a senior citizen talking, playing games, going for a walk, etc.
