Join the YWCA Elgin and Gail Borden Library to celebrate the accomplishments of women in our community. For the past 37 years at its annual Women’s Luncheon, the YWCA Elgin has honored women who have made a difference in a variety of fields such as arts, public service, racial justice and education. Every honoree has had her photo taken for a special portrait.

During Women’s History Month, it is our honor to take a step back and review the recipients of the YWCA Elgin Leader Luncheon Awards and highlights. We are inspired by the women who break the rules, raise their voices, and change the way we think about ourselves, about women, and about the role they’ve played in shaping our community. It is important to celebrate the contributions of women in our society, and this very important event highlights the contributions of these women in our community. Panelists: Nancy Schueneman, Donna Anderson, Murna Hansemann, Betty Brown, Mary Camacho, and Dr. Clare Ollayos.
