2018 - Appeared in 34 and started 13 games, going 11-11 with six complete games and a 4.55 ERA within the circle for the Lions as a junior...one of 12 lions to land on the MIAA Academic Honor roll (4.00 GPA)...pitched a team-leading 124.2 innings where she struck out 44 batters...recorded a season-high five strikeouts in two games versus Cameron (2/4) and Drury (3/4) to go along with three four-strikeout performances...did not allow a run in 11 games/22.2 innings registered in a variety of roles. 

2017 - Played in 44 and started 25 games, 44 and 20 on the mound, for the Lions...one of six players to land on the MIAA Academic Honor roll...went 11-13 with a 3:51 ERA, while recording six complete games...walked 68, while striking out 78 batters...struck out a season-high eight batters in a 3-1 complete-game victory for the Lions at home against Northeastern State (Apr. 24)...did not allow a run in 12 games pitched...finished ninth in the MIAA in innings pitched (167.2) and tied for second in saves (4)...recorded a season-high two hits, one being a homerun, in a 8-6 win against Rockhurst in the UAM Division II Softball Classic.  

2016 - Taurean is the lone returner inside the circle for Southern...she made 24 appearances with eight starts and three complete games her freshman season...Guzman started and played in 38 contests as either pitcher or designated player...she was third on the team in batting average with a .291 (34-for-117) with four doubles and seven RBIs...inside the circle she was second on the team in ERA with a 4.17 in 82 and a third innings pitched (49 earned runs)...she allowed a team low nine doubles and one triple and held her opponents to a .291 batting average and struck out 39...Guzman set a career high with three hits in the 8-0 win against Concordia-St. Paul at the Apple Market Classic in St. Joseph on March 20, that game she went 3-for-3 with a run scored...she also recorded a pair of doubles in the 11-1 win at Drury on March 1.

Prior to Southern - Came from Spring Hill HS, which did not have softball...She played club ball for the KC Originals-Sharp where she was selected for three All-Star games this past summer as well as one All-American game while maintaining a 0.956 ERA...also started four years on the volleyball court at libero for the Broncos.

Personal - Taurean has a younger brother, Daimean, and is the daughter of Juan Carlos and Jamie Guzman. She plans to major in special education while attending Southern.
