LSE Online Application System

Welcome to LSE's Graduate Application System.

Please make sure you have read the advice on our website before starting your application.

Once you start your application, you will become an 'Applicant in progress' - you will find all sorts of useful information and advice in that section of our website. You should use this system to submit your application form and all your supporting documents, including your references and administration fee.

Please be aware of an issue that has come to our attention regarding email junk/spam filters. Some email software is filtering LSE emails to the spam/junk or 'Deleted Items/Bin' folder so please make sure to check there for important information regarding your application. If you do find any of our emails in any of these folders, please make sure to add the domain @lse.ac.uk to your 'Safe Senders' or 'Never Block' list. Emails will be sent to you automatically from our database system once you have begun your online application and as your application progresses through each step in the process (application created; application submitted; application downloaded for processing). We will then send you a further email each time there is an update to the status of your application, including any requests for further information and the programme selectors’ decision on your application. It is essential that you ensure you can successfully receive our emails as soon as you begin your application.

Please read carefully the instructions on each tab and check out the tool tips for help with individual questions/sections. You will be able to submit your application once you have supplied everything we need.

You should only submit an application via this system ONCE in the application cycle (October 2023 – September 2024). Please note, this includes applicants who successfully reinstated their previous 2023/24 application to the current admissions cycle. If you submit a second online application using a different email address we will match it to your previous record and it will not be processed. You will be liable to pay an additional administrative fee to be considered for additional choices, and we will not refund any payment made via the online application. If you wish to change your programme choices or apply to further programmes at any point after submitting your initial application, please do so via the Graduate Applicant Portal.

Once your application is submitted you will become an 'Applicant under consideration' and any changes to your application must be made via our Graduate Applicant Portal.

LSE expects all applicants to complete their application materials without the use of:
  • paid agents
  • other paid professional assistance

The use of such services may lead to the rejection of application materials, the revocation of an admissions offer, cancellation of admission, or involuntary withdrawal from the university.

To get started, create an account or log in using your existing credentials below.

If you do have existing credentials from a previous admissions cycle and still have access to the email address you used for that application, please use these details if at all possible. If you still have access to your original email address but have forgotten your password, this can be reset via the Forgotten Password function below.

Using your previous credentials allows us to match your application with your pre-existing records in our database, preventing problems with the Graduate Applicant Portal and other systems later on in the process.

If you do not use your previous credentials, your old and new records will still be matched, but the matching process will take longer and may cause delays to your application.
