The last 10 years, she has been the supervisor of Trinity Gifts. Lisa Decena has been with UnityPoint-Des Moines for five years. She has worked in the health care field for more than 20 years while also working in retail. She has successfully built four gift shops. Lisa Gronstal started volunteering in the gift shop at CHI Health Mercy-Council Bluffs in 2006. She was promoted to volunteer services manager in 2018. Kirsten Heerdt began her journey with Henry County Health Center in 2012 in the communications department. In 2016, she joined the public information department where she manages volunteers and Friends of HCHC Gift Shop. She became volunteer services coordinator in 2018. Kristine Kennedy is the Volunteer Services Manager at Lucas County Health Center in Chariton, IA. She has served in this position since May of 2017 where she has learned to not only manage the program, but run a gift shop, plan fundraising events and focus on supporting the patient experience. Kristine is the current President of the Leaders of Iowa’s Healthcare Volunteers and serves on many other boards supporting her community. Kristine likes to spend her free time with family, her new dog, running and dreaming of warmer weather so she can spend time at the lake. Connie Manny wears many hats including executive assistant to the senior team, volunteer coordinator, Gift Box manager and medical staff credentialing coordinator. She has been the volunteer coordinator and Gift Box manager for eight years. Filomena Sicilia moved to the U.S. from Italy in 1982. She worked for Younkers for 36 years as head merchandiser for the home and ready-wear departments. When Younkers closed in 2018, she became part of the gift shop team at UnityPoint-Des Moines. SPEAKERS
