Join Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC), convening providers and community stakeholders to work toward the common goal of exceptional healthcare in Iowa and across the nation! The IHC Annual Forum is an All Teach All Learn event in which attendees will learn and apply leadership practices through interactive activities to advance healthcare quality across the healthcare continuum. This event will take place June 19, 2024 at the Meadows Events and Conference Center in Altoona, IA.

Early Bird Rate is $100 (Ends April 30). On May 1, admission will increase to $160.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Forum sessions will benefit physicians, CEOs, CFOs, senior administrators, nurses, quality assurance professionals, trustees/board members, clinic managers, infection control professionals, hospital pharmacy directors, clinical pharmacists and other healthcare personnel.

Discount Opportunities 

Iowa Flex Hospital Discounts:
IHC will provide reimbursement for conference registration fees ($100/registrant) for one person per Iowa Flex participating hospital. These funds are made available through the Iowa Flex program to support critical access hospital participation in continuing education and engagement opportunities.

Compass HQIC Discounts: 
IHC will also provide reimbursement ($100/registrant) to registrants from Compass HQIC participating hospitals (located in Iowa, South Dakota, Mississippi, and Kansas). This stipend is available to one person per Compass HQIC participating hospital. 

Full cost of registration will be paid at the time of registering. Only one stipend/reimbursement can be used per registrant. To receive the stipends/reimbursements mentioned above, attendees will need to sign in at the registration table the day of the event. Reimbursement will be paid directly to the hospital and not to an individual within 6-8 weeks of the event. We hope that each of you will take advantage of these available funds to take part in this educational event hosted by IHC. 

NOTE for Eligible Stipend Users: If your organization is both a Flex and HQIC participant, you are able to receive a stipend for both if two people from your organization attend.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Iowa Medical Society (IMS). Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) is accredited by the IMS to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation: IHC designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) 

In-Person: This program has been developed and is presented locally by the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative and the ACHE of Iowa Chapter. The ACHE has awarded 1.5 ACHE In-Person Education Credits for the Keynote and Leadership Panel. 

Qualified Education: By attending the 2024 IHC Annual Forum offered by The Iowa Healthcare Collaborative participants may earn up to 3.0 ACHE Qualified Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.

Nursing Continuing Education

Up to 5.0 Nursing Contact Hours will be awarded for this conference by IHA Iowa Board of Nursing, provider #4. Contact hours will be available during this conference to participants who attend sessions in their entirety. Partial credit for individual sessions will not be granted. 

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)

This program has been approved by the National Association for Healthcare Quality for a maximum of 5.0 CPHQ continuing education credits for this event.

Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)

This activity meets the criteria of the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety for up to 11.0 CPPS CE hours. It is the provider’s responsibility to track course expiration dates and to submit renewal applications prior to the expiration date identified above (if applicable). The IHC team is preparing a robust vendor show for the forum and is looking for organizations interested in hosting a vendor booth. IHC anticipates 200 - 250 guests and approximately 30 - 50 healthcare organizations represented in attendance.

Set-up time will take place June 19 from 7:00 - 8:00 AM (CT). Clean-up time will be at 4:00 PM (CT) when the event is adjourned.

Each vendor booth will receive a:

  • 8’ table with cloth and skirt
  • 10' x 10' of 8' tall black pipe & drape
  • 2 chairs
  • Wastebasket
  • Name badge
  • Access to one (1) 110-volt electric outlet
  • Booth signage
