Annette Lee, Provider Insights 4:30 p.m. Adjourn Speakers Bill Dombi is the President of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC). He also serves as the Executive Director for the Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association. As a key part of his responsibilities, Bill specializes in legal, legislative, and regulatory advocacy on behalf of patients and providers of home health and hospice care. With nearly 40 years of experience in health care law and policy, Bill Dombi has been involved in virtually all legislative and regulatory efforts affecting home care and hospice since 1975, including the expansion of the Medicare home health benefit in 1980, the formation of the hospice benefit in 1983, the institution on Medicare PPS for home health in 2000, and the national health care reform legislation in 2010. Annette Lee is a registered nurse with a master's degree in health care administration, practicing since 1990. For more than a decade she worked with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' home, health and hospice intermediary where she provided review of, and education on home health and hospice documentation. She worked as a specialist in the medical review, appeals, and provider education departments. Annette Lee founded Provider Insights providing support and provider education about Medicare reimbursement issues and effective documentation strategies. She also assisted providers across the nation with survey preparation and appeals. Today, she continues to combine her experience in the real world and the inside knowledge of Medicare to ensure providers meet the requirements of CMS and ensure compliant, efficient operations. Continuing Education The Iowa Board of Nursing has approved the Iowa Hospital Association as a provider (No. 4) of continuing education for nurses. Participants are eligible for 4.0 contact hours if they attend all sessions in their entireties. Partial credit for individual sessions will not be granted. Bill Dombi is the President of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC). He also serves as the Executive Director for the Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association.
