Convocation is quickly approaching and it is time to start thinking about ordering regalia.
In the effort to remain green on campus, all JHU master’s students will be wearing environmentally conscious GreenWeaver regalia. This line of graduation wear is made of fabric spun from the molten plastic pellets produced from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.
Each day in the US more than 60 million plastic water bottles are thrown away. Most end up in landfills or incinerators, and millions litter America’s streets, parks, and waterways. With an average of 25 plastic bottles being used to produce your cap and gown; you are helping to ensure a cleaner, healthier future for our planet.
Doctoral Graduates walk in official Johns Hopkins University regalia, available as a purchase or rental.
For students staying in academia, purchasing official Johns Hopkins University regalia allows you to show your school pride by wearing this new regalia at ceremonies where you may be on the faculty.

Graduation date: Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024
Last day to order: March 25th, 2024
Last day to order fine quality doctoral regalia: March 18th, 2024
Caps and gowns will be available for pickup from 9am to 4pm on April 29th and April 30th. If you are unable to pickup the items in person, please send someone to pick them up for you.
Attention doctoral students renting your regalia. You must return your tam, gown, and hood following the last ceremony you attend (either at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall if only attending the SOM ceremony or at the Homewood Field if also attending the University-wide ceremony).
All rental items are coded. The Oak Hall representative will be there to verify the return of all items, Students will be charged $900 for items not returned by May 24th.
