HB: What is Renuva?

Renuva is an off-the-shelf alternative to fat transfer. It is used to restore volume in any area of the body by stimulating fat growth.

HB: How does Renuva work?

Renuva can be injected in a short, in-office treatment with topical or local anesthesia. The adipose matrix is injected into the fatty tissue and over the course of approximately 12 weeks there is increased volume. The treatment can be repeated as necessary. Renuva has been utilized in reconstructive procedures, to fill liposuction irregularities, and smooth cellulite dimples, all with no downtime! Renuva eliminates the need for small volume fat transfer and does not require general anesthesia.

HB: Who is the best candidate for Renuva?

Renuva can be used in anyone that desires more volume. It is ideally suited for small areas such as cellulite dimples, liposuction irregularities or natural areas of soft-tissue loss.

HB: How does this treatment compare to others of the same nature?

There currently is no product quite like Renuva. Other products that stimulate collagen growth, such as Sculptra or Radiesse have a similar concept, but only Renuva stimulates fat.

HB: What does recovery look like?

There is no downtime. The areas treated may have swelling and bruising that should resolve within 1-2 weeks. The area will then be reassessed at 12 weeks and additional treatments could be done at that time if more correction or volume is needed.
