In memory of John F. Stewart

John, known as Pops to his beloved grandchildren, filled his life with joy, laughter and gratitude. He greeted each day as a blessing and encouraged those around him to see the best in every situation. His favorite place to be was with family and friends, engaging in great conversation, a good meal and a room full of laughter. He was a lifelong teacher, mentor and learner. He found purpose in sharing his knowledge with others and welcomed the chance to learn new things. With each new person he met, he saw an opportunity to learn something new. He took pride in the time that he spent teaching in the Automotive Repair Class at the Central Montco Technical High School. He found peace in feeding the birds, watching the Cape May sunsets with his Wife and working in his garage on his cars. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the comforts of spending time on the beach as well as out on the water
He honored the importance of taking time for the people he loved and the things that he enjoyed. He could be heard saying, 'Relax. Don't make any haste decisions and don't get stressed over the small stuff. Sleep on it. Things always seem clearer and make more sense the next day'. He saw the power of prayer and held a strong faith in God. From a young age he felt passionate about cars and was meticulous in his collision repair work. In his many years as the Owner/Operator of Stewart's Autobody Works, he developed strong bonds and friendships within the community. He always told his children, 'Find something that you love and get good at it. Then it will never feel like work'. He was a devoted husband and father and a dedicated friend. He prioritized those around him and was always there to listen and offer support. John had an endearing presence that made those around him feel comfortable and valued. His family and friends could always count on John and found solace in his dependability and sincerity. He had the best sense a humor and a laugh that filled the room. In difficult times, his strength, grace and perseverance were inspiring. He left the world a better place because of his words and actions. He was the best of everything: Best husband, Pops and friend. His smiles and laughter will live on in the words and memories of those he held dear.
Thank you so very much for donating in John's memory.
