Puget Sound Area Forest Stewardship Coached Planning courses

A forestry course for property owners

Our flagship course will teach you how to assess your trees, avoid insect and disease problems, attract wildlife, and take practical steps to keep your forest on track to provide enjoyment and even income for years to come. In this course you will develop your own Forest Stewardship Plan, which brings state recognition as a Stewardship Forest, may help qualifying landowners enroll in reduced property tax or conservation cost-share grant programs.

Field Days and Winter School

Puget Sound Forest Owner’s Field Day – July 27, 2024 in Fall City

This out-in-the-woods education event allows you attend multiple workshops all in the same day. The Field Day will help you address challenges on your property, restore healthy forest conditions, and achieve your goals. Forest Cultivated Shiitake Mushroom Workshop – June 5, 2024 in Clinton

This introductory workshop covers the basics of producing shiitake mushrooms on logs, either as an enterprise to add to your farm’s crop lineup, or as a small side business. Space is very limited!
