Feeding the Hungry Children of Washington State

Over 200,000 children in Washington State are food insecure.

It is our responsibility to make sure every child has enough to eat every day.

How We Will Solve Childhood Hunger

Assessment

Feed Washington goes into an area (it could be a neighborhood, a school district, or an individual school) and works with the people who are already on ground level feeding kids to determine the number of hungry kids in that location, and then

Action

we reach out to the businesses, the students and alumni of the schools, and the current residents in that area, to create a recurring donation stream sufficient to ensure all of the children in that location are fed on an ongoing basis.

Our Impact

Feed Washington has generated over 1.2 million meals for the hungry children of Washington State

What amount won’t you notice?

Feed Washington doesn’t ask you to give until it hurts. Instead, we ask only that you give the amount you won’t notice on your credit card or bank statement each month.

What amount won’t you notice? $5? $10? $50? Don’t worry if you are only able to donate a small amount; every dollar is important as we move toward our goal.

Let’s Solve Childhood Hunger…

With childhood hunger, we have a tremendous opportunity that doesn’t exist with most other societal problems: childhood hunger is easily solvable.

To solve childhood hunger, we don’t have to invent a cure or even debate whether feeding kids should be a priority. We’re all in agreement that no child should go hungry.

All we need to end childhood hunger is a recurring donation stream in an amount sufficient to purchase the necessary food.

That’s it. The distribution channels for getting the food to the hungry children are already in place.
