CWU Young Workers Conference 2019: Tuesday, 22ndJanuary 2019 – Birmingham
Dear Colleagues,
The NEC has agreed that the 2019 Young Workers Conference will take place on Tuesday, 22ndJanuary 2019 at the offices of The Birmingham District Amal Branch, 47 Summer Lane, Hockley, Birmingham, B19 3TH.
Details of the closing date for submissions of Motions will be dealt with and issued by the General Conference Standing Orders Committee under a separate Letter to Branches.
Other arrangements appertaining to the Young Workers Conference are set out in Rule 10.17.
Accommodation
We have secured some accommodation at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel at £69 B&B for the evening of Monday, 21stJanuary.
If branches would like to reserve one of these rooms please email Jo Thair at CWU Head Office with name of their delegate(s). The rooms will be paid for centrally and the branch will be charged after the event via the branch rebate process.
Please note that the rooms at this rate are limited so early reservation is advised.
Social
There will be a social during the Monday evening (21st January): the details of which will be issued nearer the time.
Mobility/Access Issues
Please let Jo Thair know as quickly as possible, no later than Monday, 3 December 2018, if anyone has any mobility or access issues etc. or if a signer is required.
Crèche
If anyone requires a crèche, could you please also let Jo Thair know as quickly as possible, and no later than Monday, 3 December 2018.
Prayer Room
Please let Jo Thair know as quickly as possible, no later than, Monday, 3 December 2018 if anyone requires a prayer room, so that we can arrange suitable accommodation for this.
