In alignment with the mission statements of both the Office for Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance (VPVA) and the Student Affairs Compliance and Title IX office (Title IX), as well as the Action Plan from the 2018 iSPEAK Climate Survey, this assessment seeks to raise awareness and educate students about violence prevention and related campus resources by educating students through presentations and conversations in workshops.
The workshops will explore the intersections of graduate student experiences and interpersonal violence with a focus on the following topics: LGTBQ+, race and ethnicity, men and masculinity, higher education and interpersonal violence, and healthy relationships.
