Royals United #1

Royal Tease

The plan was royally simple...

Go undercover, protect my best friend's little sister. It should have been the easiest assignment of my life. But Jessa is uncooperative. She's feisty, mouthy, and stubborn. Oh and she hates me. Ever since I threw her over my shoulder and carried her out of a bar fight, I've been persona non grata.

But the stakes are too high to mess this up. The monarchy is at risk.

Jessa...I can't stand Roone Ainsley. There, I said it. Shoot me.

We go together like lightning and water. His cheeky obstinance is going to cost me my job. A job I've worked hard to keep. No one is messing this up for me. I've had enough crazy in my life. But even if I wanted him--which I don't, but if I did--I can't ever have him. My life is not my own. I've known that since birth.

Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.

That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

Stopped reading at 9%

I never DNF books, and I'm not really considering this a DNF 'ed book, but it was very clear within the first chapter or so that I was missing information and that these characters have shown up in the authors world somewhere before this. I was just confused with information that was being thrown onto the pages about events or other characters I knew nothing about. I tried to read on for as long as I could to see if we would find anything out, especially about how the hero is apparently the heroines brothers best friend yet they don't know each other, but I just couldn't do it. I know that if I continued on and got even more confused by the mentioned of previous things that I would end up hating the book, and it could end up being a very good book so I didn't want to do that. I'll try to figure out which books I need to read before this one and try those before coming back.

I just have to say though, this kind of thing is a huge pet peeve of mine in the book world. It really gets my goat to see any author promoting a book as a standalone and then I read it and there are a shit ton of mentions from other characters to the point that I feel like I'm missing important information and get frustrated.

OH. MY. GOD. ROONE! ROONE AND JESSA.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

When I first started this royal series and found out Nana Malone was writing Roone’s story I got super excited.

After loving Sebastian and Lucas I KNEW i was gonna love Roone and damn, I was right. This guy is something else.

He’s charming, cocky and damn sexy. Being close to the King Sebastian and Prince Lucas they trust him with protection on the lost princess but the last thing he ever expects is to fall for her.

And then there’s Jessa, badass extraordinaire. She’s an incredible human. Sassy, lovely and isn’t afraid to stand up for what’s right and not afraid to back down. She’s badass and knows how to protect herself thanks to her dad.

From the very first meeting I knew these two were going to be fun but I didn’t expect it to go the way it did. Their story was incredible.m and I legit just NEED a more of it because that ending, CHRIST. WHY?

Nana Malone sure knows how to write some badass royals, I swear! It’s the best Royal series I’ve ever came across and I’m so addicted. I’m already having withdrawals I need the next book like, yesterday!

If you’re looking for a slow sexy read with a gorgeous royal guard and a sassy lost princess then this book is definitely for you, it won’t disappoint!

I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't even begin to tell you if I loved Roone or Jessa more, but I know I loved them both.

This book was honestly full of lots of great characters. Ariel was just as fun to read about as Jessa and Roone. She felt just as important to the story line and my overall enjoyment.

Another element, besides the romance of course, that I loved about this was the mystery and suspense of it all. There were a lot of twists and turns and plot lines, but not in a confusing way. It just added more to the story.

Jessa and Roone had kind of a slow build feel to their relationship. I absolutely understood where "Royal Tease" came in. But when they stopped fighting it a little bit, boy did they combust.

That ending! Way to leave a person craving more. Now I need Teasing the Princess asap. I cannot wait to find out what comes after an ending like that.

Roone's mission: protect the long lost princess, Jessa. Now, how best to ingratiate himself with the feisty, independent woman without giving away his true identity? Or even more pressing, without losing his heart to her, to the princess who happens to be his best mate's sister. Yep.

I love Nana Malones' royals! First Sebastian, then Lucas and now best friend Roone. Don't tell the king and the long lost prince but I think Roone has them beat in the swoony, cocky & adorable department. Paired with the ever sassy Jessa, and these two are a couple to watch. Be forewarned, as is the standard with Nana Malone, there's a doozy of a cliffy, so if you want to avoid it, wait until Teasing the Princess comes out in January before you read. I personally can't wait for their conclusion, because this first part was fire! It's fun and witty, super sexy, and had me glued to my Kindle after every page as I waited to see what else these two would find themselves up to. January can't come soon enough for me!

Each royal duet Nana Malone writes just gets better and better!

Royal Tease was intriguing, seductive, and a completely alluring forbidden romance! If you’ve read the previous duets, Royals Undercover & Royals Undone, then you’ll know this is Jessa’s story. And just like the previous books, this story is full of unknown threats, secrets, and undeniable passion.

Jessa and Roone have a unique relationship. From the get-go, I was completely smitten with Roone. I mean, COME ON….a man who dedicates his life to protecting others, with a sexy, charismatic disposition, and anyone would have trouble not falling for him. Setting aside his charm and ruggedly handsome good looks, Roone was funny, a bit arrogant, and possessed a heart of gold. He can be my bodyguard ANY day! And Jessa was undoubtedly his equal. A strong, independent, and feisty character, she sure gave as good as she got when it came to Roone. I absolutely LOVE how the author writes her female characters as take-charge, intelligent, and tenacious women. A woman doesn’t need a man to always save the day. Sometimes, she can handle problems herself. Sometimes, she can face situations head on and get the job done. Sometimes, SHE can be the hero. And the author clearly writes her female characters that way, with heart, compassion, and grace.

The storyline embodies somewhat similar qualities as the previous duets. Danger lurks in the shadows and there are more questions than answers as to what, or who, the real threat is. The underlying suspense kept me wondering what was going to happen next. And as more and more was revealed, the more and more I was swept up in the story.

Emotional, thrilling, and passionate, Royal Tease was exactly the start I was hoping for from Jessa and Roone’s story. And after that EPIC cliffhanger I was left with, I’m dying for all the answers and for Teasing the Princess to mend my heart after this book shattered it to pieces.

5 Stars!

Nana Malone has captivated me with this series of royals and all of their scandals, illicit affairs, and crazy suspense. Royal Tease is the story of the lost princess and the ohhh so broody royal guard Roone, i thought Lucas story was my favorite but Roone and Jessa have basically taken this series to a whole other level.

I enjoy that Nana writes strong female leads and that she doesn't follow your basic romance protocol when boy meets girl. Roone is supposed to get close to the lost princess on his mission to protect her from unknown enemies, unbeknownst to him she has been trained to take on unforeseen danger. While he and Ariel work out to figure out who is after the royal family he tries to fight the chemistry that he feels for Jessa, and she doesn't make it any easier for him either.

These two are hilariously fighting one another at ever encounter and all you can do is sit back and continue to read as their relationship turns from annoyance to straight up savagery in the bedroom. I truly do enjoy reading this series and after that shocking ending i need to know what lies next for Roone and Jessa. Ms Malone you played us dirty with that cliffhanger.

I've read a few of Nana Malone's books before and I was excited about the opportunity to dive into another one. This book follows soon Roone, a member of the royal guard of the Winston Isles and best friend to the king, who has been placed undercover to protect his best friend's little sister, Jessa. Jessa is a fiesty, independent woman who hates Roone from the start. She is also 100% off limits for him, but right away these 2 have a serious connection, all the sexual tension and fight like cats and dogs. They antagonize each other every time they get the chance and it leads to an entertaining story about a body guard trying to stay in control of his emotions, and the girl trying to stay away from the body guard.
I cannot wait for the next book in this duet.

Oh what a delicious tale of intrigue and scorching chemistry. A royal bodyguard, guarding the long lost princess, unbeknownst to her, struggles with his feelings from day one. His bestfriend, the King would most certainly not approve so he desperately tries to ignore it. All that accomplishes is to annoy the ever loving heck out said princess.
The brooding, contrary man that is trying to steal her clients and manhandle her and tell her what to do. Arghhhh. A life on the run, from imaginary dangers, Jessa will not let anyone take away the gone she has finally built for herself. As the days pass though, Roone manages to crawl under her skin. Worm his way in. He no longer angers her the way he use too. That one kiss, she can't forget. Who is she fooling. It's against the rules. It can't go anywhere. But she can only live in denial so long.
At the same time, enemies are coming from every direction, and Roone and Ariel, work overtime to figure it out. Everything is coming to ahead and you won't believe where it ends! Definitely a must read for any lovers of action packed intrigue, a passion that scorches and is impossible to ignore and a delicious plot line that will hold you hostage right up until the last page!

4.5 Royal Stars!
I absolutely adored this forbidden romance! It was funny, sweet, breathtaking and very sexy! We first met Roone as Sebastian's best friend and Royal Guard in the Royals Undercover series. He always intrigued me, and I was very excited to finally read more about him. Roone is direct, honest, chivalrous, and very sexy. When he accepts Sebastian's request to protect the royal Princess, Jessa, he never imagined she would challenge him like she did. She was feisty, smart, and conniving, and would do whatever it took to win. She thwarted him at every turn, and he was frustrated and turned on in equal measure! Jessa never had stayed long in any city, always prepared to move at a moments notice. She didn't understand her fathers quirks, but loved him enough to do as he asked. Now this infuriating, take charge, sexy man is making her want things she never dreamed were possible. As she entertains a future, things start happening that could jeopardize her life. This is another sweet, witty, suspenseful story that will leave you stunned and begging for the next book!

To write a credible royal romance is not as easy as it seems. And this new author for me, did a good job. Beside the classic trope when it comes to royals: protective them, there is a very entertaining push and pull game of mutual attraction and deep frustration between Roone ( the bodyguard ) and the princess, Jessa.
Seeing them interact from the very beginning is sexy, funny and so challenging.
The both characters are really dynamic, so expect good stuff from those two;)
Jessa is a very ambitious, beautiful, clever, perspicacious young lady. But what I liked the most was her way to be, her way to approach every new challenge. And her sassy month...well is the cherry on top of the cake, or should I say the crown?
As for him? Well he's a bodyguard, so his protective instinct are SO damn strong and tempting... Obviously add a pair of hot muscles!
The greatest part is the forbidden part of their relationship. But also the tauting parts.
Have a great time reading this royal story.
*My only complain was the confusing part of the beginning of the book. I had a hard time to get into the story, but once there it was good. If you haven't read any other book by this author, well is going to be a real challenge to understand all the dynamics here.

WHOA
WHOA!!
How STEAMY HOT are these Royals?!?!? Nana Malone has once again proven they are FIRE HOTTTTTT!!!

Royal Tease was as complex, intriguing, and sexy as sin! I LOVED every moment of this
forbidden romance! This time we get Jessa and Roone's story.

Jessa and Roone have quit the unique relationship. She's a princess who doesn't know she's one, he's undercover to keep her safe. I LOVED Roone!!! He's a complete and total alpha male, he's sexy, intriguing, and charismatic. How can a woman resist him?

Jessa was such an AMAZING character. She's strong, spunky, independent, and downright feisty. She definitely gave Roone a run for his money.

Royal Tease was an emotional, sexy, thrilling, and passionate story. And a WONDERFUL start to
Jessa and Roone’s story. Let me say after that cliffhanger I'm dying to see what's next four these two. Can't wait for Teasing the Princess.

Nana Malone's Royal Tease is the beginning of the end for Roone; Sebastian's loyal bodyguard and best friend. Roone is sent undercover to protect the Lost Princess. With Ariel leading the mission, Roone is already a wreck. But, when he meets Jessa for the first time, he knows that he is going to have to fight to not end up like Penny, or worse yet like Lucas, in love and acting like a fool!
Jessa has been raised knowing how to defend herself and knowing how to run. Always thinking that her father's mental illness was to blame for his extreme paranoia, Jessa starts to question whether he was truly insane. When a version of the truth is finally revealed to her, her first instinct is to run, and far, far away!
Like all of Nana's books, Royal Tease will have you in stitches. Not only is it funny, it is suspenseful, romantic, emotional, and best of all...steamy!

I read an ARC of Royal Tease and willingly left this honest review.

Wow. Every new book in this Royals series I think this is my fav. I cannot choose, clearly.

This is book 1 in the 3rd Royals duet.
1st / Royals Undercover Duet (cheeky royal & cheeky king)
Sebastian & Penny

2nd/ Royals Undone Duet (Royal Bastard & Bastard Prince)
Lucas & Bryna

Roone. Roone. Roone.
Love this guy. While this could be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend going back to first and starting there.
Trusty royal guard. Best friend to the King and Bastard Prince. He’s been sent to protect, without telling her the truth mind you, the lost Princess.

Going back a bit. Sebastian has 2 half siblings that he found about as an adult. Jessa is the lost princess and she has no idea.
Enter Roone & Ariel. Born royal guards. Both sent as a team to protect her from an anonymous threat.

I loved Roone’s story. Every second. He’s such a great guy. And so likable. He handles Jessa perfectly and at first i was confused on his method, but it clicked and made perfect sense.

GREAT writing.
Awesome plot
Reminder it’s a duet so it ends on cliffhanger.

Highly recommend. It’s fabulous.

Un-freaking-believable. I cannot believe the author left me hanging like that. How could she? I mean, is he or isn't he? I feel like I'm swinging from a trapeze with no net below and praying I don't fall. This story is incredible with suspense, mayhem, love, adventure, lies and half truths, and secrets.

Will Jessa and Roone survive all of the lies and secrets? Was her father as paranoid as everyone thought or was he more sane than believed?

Stay tuned for the conclusion to this story. If you don't like cliffhangers then hang on to this book until the sequel comes out. But you definitely want to read this story.

I've heard love described as a losing game. Although there may be some truth to that, I have always thought we give out what we take in. It's easier to fall in love, but not so easy to walk away. We enter romance seeing what we want to see, but when we walk away we leave strong feelings behind. Royal Tease is the story of two strangers trying to make sense. Jessa and Roone are thrown together with the best of intentions and torn apart by deceit. Malone is masterful when it comes to seducing her readers. She's so good that I never see what's standing right in front of me. Heartache and a surprise ending.

So because these books aren't ARCs and I've been reading them without a deadline in my spare time I'm ashamed to admit that I've slaking off in the review department. BUT I will do a super quick review:

➵ Cover: 5. Absolutely yummy model.
➵ Hero: 5. Roone is loyal and caring to a fault. I've loved him so far.
➵ Heroine: 3.5. I can't pin-point the reason. Perhaps because if feel Jessa isn't an independent woman, she's just too stubborn.
➵ Sexiness: 4. I feel that because Jessa is too stubborn, that it takes her and Roone a really long time to get to a point where they can explore their attractions.
➵ Feels: 4. I'm not convinced Jessa deserves Roone. It will be determined in the next book. NOTE: this one ends in a cliffhanger.
➵ Plot: 5. I can't wait to discover about the royal conspiracy!
➵ Overall rating: 4.4

Book: Royal Tease

Series: Royals United #1

Author: Nana Malone

Release date: 13 November 2018

Main characters: Jessa McLean, PR guru and secret Princess. Roone Ainsley, sent to protect her by infiltrating her world.

Plot: Roone Ainsley is a trusted friend of the newly-crowned King. Who better then, to be given the mission to protect his half-sister, Jessa?

The mission is secret. Roone must get close to her, gain her trust but at no point must he reveal the truth about who he is. Simple right? Roone hates lies and when he meets Jessa and begins to enjoy her company, he likes his brief even less. How will she react when the truth comes out? And the truth must always out...
Jessa is where she wants to be professionally. She's respected and good at her job. When Roone Ainsley shows up to mess all of her hard work up, she has no intention of letting him jeopardise all that. The more time the pair spend together, the more confused she becomes about him - one minute he's a thorn in her side, the next he's her biggest advocate. Who exactly is Roone Ainsley?

Why you should read it: I really enjoy these Royal books - and I'm not usually a fan of royal-themed anything. The books are smart, the settings are vivid and the action is constant. I really liked Roone and Jessa's characters. He's strong and full of fun and himself - but he's not overbearing. Jessa is stubborn stubborn stubborn - but she has good reason to dig in her heels. She's been through a lot in life and she really doesn't do the self-pitying thing, she just gets on with it.
The chemistry between the pair was enough to make me fan myself. It was definitely a slow but steady burn. I also loved that Nana name checked some of my favourite characters from the Chase brothers books - Abie and Alexis. I feel like I need to re-read those books now!

What you may not like: this is a duet and yes it does end on a cliffhanger. And yes - I want to know what happened right now!

Rating: 4/5 for successfully making a book set in the world of royalty realistic. There's so much intrigue and mystery it'll keep you turning those pages.

Nana Malone I could kiss you right now.
Thank you for bringing Roone into our lives. And let’s not forget Sebastian and Lucas.
When we first meet Roone in Cheeky Royal I was secretly hoping Roone would get his story. He’s ex SAS soldier, charged with protecting the King. He’s a bit moody at times but 100% alpha male. What’s not to love?
I loved everything about this story. Roone and Jess’s are perfect together. Why can’t they both see it. I think I need to bang their heads together.
Jess’s is a fantastic character. The one thing that always stands out when reading a Nana Malone’s Royals Duets is that she writes bad ass females, women who don’t need a man to do things for them but they are there if they need them. And that is Jess’s, she’s been raised to not have too many important possessions in case she needs to run. She’s independent, fierce and loyal.
I loved the underlying storyline of there always being danger around and not knowing where that danger is coming from. I really hope we get to the bottom of the conspiracy theory in the next book.
Nana Malone has a way of dropping bombs on us with secrets so it won’t surprise me if we are totally surprised about who is involved.
I’ve come to expect cliffhangers from reading the Royals Duet but this one still shocked me.
I just hope everything can be sorted out in the end.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I have loved all of the books that follow this group of characters. It all started with Cheeky Royal in the Royals Undercover Series and has expanded into one amazing story after another. I highly recommend reading the other books that go along with this one first. You will love the story that much more when you know what all is going on from the beginning.

This book lets us get to know the lost princess Jessa. Only, she has yet to find out that she is the lost princess. With danger after the royal family, Roone is put on the job of going undercover to protect her. This mission proves to be harder than expected when Jessa wants nothing to do with him right from the start. Like oil and water these two do not mix well.

This book is full of mystery and suspense, heartbreak and love. I could hardly put this book down once I started reading because I had to know what was going to happen next. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book in this series so that I can hopefully find out who is after the family.

This is a must read book and series for sure. - By Alisa

Page turner. Fun. Royal. Beauty. Excitement. Nana Malone has done it all over again. This time we get a royal she. . .

Jessa was all that was strong, independent, smart, sassy, sexy, feisty, self-assured . . . and a challenge for one Roone. These two together find that this was not just a simple little game of life. There was so much more. Dive in and see what Jessa and Roone have to show you and do be ready to be on the edge. There will be more to come.

Holy cow!! I adore this series and the first part of Jessa and Roones' story did not disappoint. It was sassy and funny, sweet and romantic with just enough suspense to suck you in. Roones' inner dialogue was epic. I was excited the Ariel is back. That ending, OMG. I need more...

Just when you thought this series could not get any better. Nana Malone hits you right between the eyes with this one. This book will have you laughing, crying, horny and breathlessly awaiting the next book in this series. They definitely do good cliffhangers. This series takes a deep look at Roone who is sent to protect Jessa, the lost princess of Winston Isles. We all know how it is supposed to go, but does it ever go that way. Roone is straight-laced and by the book type of guy. Jessa is no none sense, focusing on staying put and making a life for herself. I can’t even begin to try to figure out how Jessa’s story will end but the ride to get there will definitely be thrilling. This author can captivate readers like no other

Roone Ainsley is protecting again. Only this time the mark doesn't know any of the truth. Throw into the mix that she's cagey and unpredictable and what you have is more explosive moments than ACME TNT.

Jessa is at the top of her game. The gold standard for the firm, she takes no prisoners and has a no-nonsense attitude. She's suspicious of everyone, apart from a select few. Making getting close to her harder than anyone could imagine. Her childhood was steeped in chaos and uncertainty. Her father kept her on her toes and always on edge. Mental health issues or something far more sinister?

Of course, Sebastian and Lucas are on the same page, it wouldn't be a Winston Isles book without them. They already play the overprotective brothers well. If only their sister would let them. The setting is urban London with all the hustle and bustle of life there to see, feel and smell. Personally, London holds a special place for me as I was born there and to see it treated with respect but also truly portrayed, made me just a smidge homesick.

Any book penned by this author has mystery and intrigue. This is the first in a duet, but it's still part of the larger world building tale of the Winston monarchy. Questions have been needing answers since Cheeky Royal and the more we discover the more new threads come undone.

Ariel plays a bigger part in this one and something tells me; I hope that she may one of these days get her own book. I so hope she will. She's a take charge, a brash young woman who can and does play in the big leagues with men. She can go toe-to-toe with any man and come out on top. She keeps Roone on a short leash and he does as he's told more often than not.

The men with the tattoos have played the sinister bad guys are at it again. Making themselves known and creating angst and drama where none was before. Simple small acts are becoming pieces in a much larger jigsaw puzzle.

A break-in or is it just pure chance, a stalker or is someone nipping at the heels of another Winston child? Is a dead body laid at their feet a simple case of wrong place wrong time or is it the work of another creep in this already teeming line-up.

There comes a point when sexual tension and electricity cannot be fought anymore and when they finally let themselves off the chain, well, it's hotter than any of the previous Royal books.

Roone and Jessa are true counterparts. Two halves of a machine that work efficiently whilst solo but put them together, they transform into something wholly seamless and effective. Roone is so achingly vulnerable in places and that's a new thing for readers. He's always taken charge, shoot once and then empty his clip just to make sure the bad guy is deader than dead. He has history and a family now. Flesh and blood family, who know his dark past and where his demons lay. Some he wants nothing to do with, others he would walk the sun for, and we don't even have ALL the answers yet. Curse sexy men and their closet skeletons.

This is a book about change. Cause and effect that happens even before you are born at times. Wheels put in motion after just one minor moment can cataclysmically (is that even a word?) Change the course of one's life.

“But do you know the real moment I knew I was fighting a losing battle?” Her lips quirked. ”When I stole your keys?” I shook my head. “Not even close. Although, that was when I vowed to make you weak with orgasms so you couldn’t run away.” She rolled her eyes. “Of course.” “No, the moment was when I helped you carry in those boxes. You looked at me, and you were so vulnerable. I could see you. The real you. The one who tries to be strong and is afraid of failing. The moment I saw her, I knew I couldn’t stay away. Even when I most certainly should have.”

Nana Malone thrives on patterns and questions. I oftentimes ask myself if she even knows where the story is going when she begins to type. Or does it pull her along like a ship in heavy waves? But wait! There's still more. How can there possibly be more, you may ask. Well, there's one scene near the end that had my jaw slack and my voice was stolen away on a gust of wind.

How could it end this way? How could you do do this to me you vicious, wonderfully tortuous author, you! I have to have the second book. I can't wait until January that would be pure torture. I know you're sitting their author dearest, rubbing your hands together with glee. And to be honest with you...I wouldn't have it any other way. Kudos for doing it to me again. I flove this world and the characters in it. Well bloomin’ done!

Royal Tease is book one in a new series by Ms. Malone. And despite knowing that, I wasn't prepared for the cliffhanger at the end. So there's your warning. Otherwise we find our characters trying to overcome childhood issues to find love and how to balance work and love.

Oh, the intrigue. Roone is undercover to guard Jessa. Jessa has no idea she needs protection. And despite Roone's misgivings and requests, he has to do his job without letting Jessa know. That creates a bodyguard/royalty/work mashup romance mixed with opposites attract.

Roone and Jessa were interesting characters. I felt like the backstory and details were great, but were doled out very slowly. Though I'm sure it was with great thought, it left a lot of unknowns to the reader and felt like the essence of each character was just out of reach for understanding. Jessa is a hard working PR associate. She was dealt a lot of childhood uncertainties, but has overcome them to be a great person. Roone is a very capable Royal Guard, but rubs Jessa the wrong way when they first meet. He's still chivalrous and interested; and despite knowing this is a work assignment, it's hard to tell where the acting ends and the hormones start. I liked that Roone wanted to make the assignment known to Jessa from the beginning and work with her instead of leaving her in the dark.

The assignment for Roone sets up the duo for possible romance. And no matter how much Jessa fights the idea, the chemistry is there. The desire, innuendos, flirting, and attraction thrives despite their back and forth feisty banter. When the cameras finally go off and the two end up in the bedroom, it's no surprise that Roone rocks Jessa's world. Poor Ariel listening in!

The pace of the book was a bit up and down. The mystery of if and when Jessa would piece together the “princess” bit coupled with Roone's unorthodox public relations craftsmanship...but the background details that made up their history was choppy and a bit awkward. You constantly know something is missing, and some is the mystery of the lost princess, but it's more than that somehow and make it a bit rocky to read.

This book felt like part of a bigger novel universe, so I'm interested in going back to find other works by Ms. Malone so I can get some of the backstory that was alluded to. And I really want to know what happens, so of course I'm up for part two! I hate cliffhangers like this, and I want to know if they work out their pasts to create a future.

This was an exceptional and mesmerising story and one that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The plot has a lot to offer and is very intriguing. More importantly and totally unexpected is the conclusion, which definitely leaves behind an air of mystery. There are so many facets to the book that when combined bring together a very captivating and enthralling story, which held my interest throughout. This is certainly a book I would have no hesitation in recommending.

As Royal Guards, Ariel and Roone’s mission is to protect Jemma, the lost Princess, and to this end they integrate themselves into Evans PR; Ariel as a client, working on an exclusive dating application, and Roone as a new colleague to work alongside Jemma. It soon becomes apparent that Evan, one of the partners, has a more than professional interest in Jemma and his unsavoury background is a cause for concern. After a lifetime of moving from place to place, Jemma finally has roots; working for Evans PR for the last 3-years has given Jemma a stability she has never had before. Her whole life has been spent with people telling her what to do, bossing her around and forcing her into compliance. This is not what she wants; she needs her freedom and for whatever reason she is finding it difficult to trust Roone and her disdain is evident. Roone knew Jemma was stubborn, obstinate and always thought she knew what was best, but she is also insightful, smart and has good instincts; she knew what to fight for, knew what mattered and while Roone shouldn’t have feelings for her, he did. Jemma realizes she may have misjudged Roone; she thought he was out to steal her clients. It is only through their organized dates and subsequent connection that they see each other differently; one that brings them closer together. Jemma had always been her father’s number one concern, but she had never given his delusions any credence; she never took him seriously, never believed him when she should have. For once Jemma wants to take a risk, but should she really have let her guard down; now it has only put her in jeopardy. Roone has been lying, keeping the truth away from Jemma, but when other factors come to light it is time for him to be honest with her. Will Jemma listen to Roone, or is it too late to finally confess what he has wanted to tell her all along? A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Roone, the protector. He is best friends with and security for King Sebastian and Prince Lucas.

They have a sister, Jessa - she doesn't know who she really is, and Roone (along with Ariel) have been sent to London to protect her from a danger that they aren't sure of. Roone goes in undercover to work along-side Jessa and they have this wild chemistry between them. He is very overprotective and she feels she doesn't need protecting, that she is a strong woman and can take care of herself.

After several incidents, she realizes that she is falling for Roone and they begin a relationship. She had a paranoid father who always made her feel that his delusions were keeping them on the run. Just as they would settle in one place, he would pick them up in the middle of the night and move them. As she became an adult, she had to have her father committed and he later died there. She always felt guilty about putting him in a home.

After she collects her father's personal belongings, she sees these sketches of men with tattoos of daggers and starts to wonder who they are.

After meeting with an old family friend, he tells her that her mother had left her dad for a short while and during that time had a relationship with another man. Her father and mother reunited but at the time, her mother was pregnant. Her father never told her that he was not her biological father and that her real father was King Cassius from the Winston Isles.

She then finds out from this friend that the people in the sketches are from the Royal Family. She begins to feel her father was not as 'ill' as she thought. She runs home to grab a bag to run yet again when Roone shows up to tell her the truth about who she is but it is too late because she already knows.

She trusts no one and as she is about to leave, she raises a gun towards Roone. And shoots.

... And now we have to wait for the rest of their story. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Nana Malone is an excellent writer. This is not the first book I have read of hers and it certainly won't be the last.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

Five teasing stars! Hot attraction + sassy lost princess + protective British hero = beautiful perfection

For the crown’s sake! When I tough that no other male character will ruin me, and there it comes Nana Malone and writes a new book and creates such a hot, British possessive cavalier! I wonder what inspire Nana to create such impossible perfect male characters. They are pretty more than any others. After loving Sebastian and Lucas, I was really excited to discover if Roone was going to be a so good book boyfriend and voilà he is absolutely swoon-and-drool-worthy!

Royal Tease is a tease with capital letters, ladies! It is excellently developed; the story unfolds wonderfully and the characters are complex. This book has all the elements that romance readers love. The plot is original (a characteristic of the writing of this author) and the pace is fast. The dual narration is deliciously teasing. I loved everything about this book. There is a reason why Nana Malone’s books are my favourites and you will discover it if you read any of her books.

The attraction and chemistry between Jessa and Roone is explosive and hot as hell, it is steamy desire that will consume every of their cells. They are something fantastic. They way they challenge each other is exquisite. Their complexity makes them unique and it increases the beauty of this book. Ronne is more than a handsome guy. He is sexy AF, arrogant, charming and sometimes damn sweet! He is all the package ladies! He is absolutely trust worthy. If you don’t believe me, you can ask King Sebastian and Prince Lucas. They trust him with their lost sister...

This book wrapped me like a warm summer breeze. Light, delicate and wholly enticing. It made me want more and more until the end of it. Reading Royal Tease was a teasing experience that gave me all the feels. I had a wonderful time. It was worthy of every minute I spent on it. It left me with a big book hangover and the end killed me. It is like this book has a teasing complex. Damn it! There is more than a good romance between the pages of this masterpiece.

If you love all things royal, then I’m sure you have been reading this royal series by Nana Malone.  The latest, Royal Tease continues with the King and Prince finding their sister.  Of course, being a Winston, she is not going to come back to the island very easily.  Malone writes this story with lots of action and several great female characters with spunk that just aren’t going to wait around being the damsels in distress.  With fiery banter and lots of sexual tension between Roone and Jessa this book is just another fine example of the 5-star writing of Nana Malone.  Royal Tease leaves off with a breath-taking cliffhanger that will leave you screaming and yelling at your kindle and at Malone, but don’t worry the story continues with Teasing the Princess.  So, sit tight and have your tiaras ready its about to get royally messy.

Jessa Mclean has finally settled in and made a life for herself.  She has a job and for the first time has a stable life.  Little does she know that she is the long-lost Princess of Winston Isles.  Roone is King Sebastian’s best friend and personal bodyguard, he is the one person that Sebastian trusts the most.  When the Princess is found the King sends Roone to protect her, but he must do so without her knowing about it.  There is still a plot out to kill the royal family and the Royal Guard are still trying to figure out who is behind the killing and the attempts on the King’s life.  As Roone gets closer to Jessa, he vows he won’t do anything to jeopardize his standing with the guard or with his best friend, but each day he finds it harder and harder to resist the beautiful Princess.  Now Jessa has information and the one person she thought she could trust has been exposed as the one that has been after her along.  Jessa must do the things her father taught her to escape even if that means escaping from Roone.
