The final book of the Walker Brothers Trilogy!!!

What happens when your entire future is destroyed in moments?

Dane

My name is Dane Walker, and I'm entirely, irrevocably damaged. I lost my whole life in the plane crash that killed my father and left me scarred, both physically and emotionally, barely clinging to life in a hospital as the sole survivor of the accident.. I wasn't fit to function in the city, so I moved to my own private island in the Bahamas to lick my wounds alone.

I'd spent my adult life building up my solitary existence on Walker's Cay.

I was fine with being by myself.

I was resigned to my fate.

But then I met her.

My brothers sent her; I wanted to send her away.

But...I couldn't.

Something about Kenzie Jordan reminds me of myself. She's broken just like me. I want to save her from whatever secrets she's hiding. She was handed a pretty raw deal in life, and she's the strongest woman I've ever known. I couldn't leave her alone on the streets somewhere, so I decided to keep her, even though it costed me my peace of mind.

Sure, I wanted Kenzie in my bed. The white-hot chemistry has been there since the moment I saw her. But she leaves me craving something...more.

I thought I was helping Kenzie...until I wasn't.

Turns out, we may end up saving each other. She's the cure for my profound loneliness. Can a messed up, solitary man like me ever be enough for a woman like her? I hope so, because I don't plan on ever letting her go...

This is the third book in the series and it absolutely knocked my socks off. I enjoyed the previous two books but this one left them in the dust. Dane is one of my favorite hunks. After a tragic accident that left him scarred he hides away on a private island in the Bahamas. His brothers are worried about him and send him a personal assistant. Kenzie is gorgeous but hiding from her past. After they get to know one another the sparks start to fly. Will their pasts keep them apart or will they find their HEA? Again I say if you haven't read any of Jan's books you are missing out.

OMG Author J.S. Scott has completely blown me away with her lates book in the Walker Brothers Series.
After having read Release! and Player! I was desperate to read Dane's story, being the youngest of the siblings but the most affected, I knew his story was going to be tough. As the saying goes, the best is yet to come, the wait was certainly worth it as Dane's novel certainly was even more special than what I expected and it touched me deeply.

Jan takes us through the trials and tribulations which Dane had to endured after surviving the accident in which his father and stepmother were killed. It was harrowing reading how much he suffered and what lengths he took in order to be out of public eye. Living as a recluse, Dane is forced to refrain from interacting with anyone, and after years of being alone, he is somehow content with his life. His brothers however have other ideas, so they send him a PA in the shape of a petite brunette goddess.
Kenzie has her own ghost. Events of her past have left her with trusting issues and with her own physical and mental injuries.
After a string of bad jobs and lousy salaries, leaving her on the brink of becoming homeless, Kenzie can't believe her luck at finding herself on a private jet on her way to the Bahamas to start her new job. The opportunity had come at the best of times and she was grateful that Trace and Sebastian Walker had offered her the position to become Dane's future PA. With all her belongings in a small carry on and five dollars in her pocket, Kenzie is betting her future on her new position, as an art lover herself, she is ecstatic with the prospect of meeting and working for the unapproachable, Dane Walker. Its a shame however, that Dane is not as happy to se her, it seems his brothers forgot to let him know she was coming.

Forced to spend time in each other company, Dane and Kenzie soon discover their pasts have left them both with a kindred emotional connection. For both the price of giving into their desires comes with the biggest risk of loosing the only thing that could completely destroy them, their hearts.

For all lovers of romance, fans of the series or just someone looking for a quick but unforgettable read, this story is definitely for you.

5 HEARTWARMING STARS!!!

Damaged was the third book in the Walker Brothers series by JS Scott.

Dane Walker was the youngest Walker brother. He was in a plane crash at nineteen that killed his father and step mother. Although he was the lone survivor, he had horrible scars both internally and externally. Then as one of the richest men in the world, he bought a private island and secluded himself.

Kenzie Jordan was born into a cruel life and it never got any better. She learned to be independent and to take care of herself, trusting no one. Trace and Sebastian Walker hired Kenzie to be Dane’s assistant on his private island. She grasped at the life line for a new life.

The sparks flew from the onset but both had mountains of issues that wouldn’t allow either one to act upon them. As such, Scott began to unravel their secrets, fears, and obstacles. It was told with a dual POV and bounced between present day and past for both, leading us to the present/future where their lives overlapped.

It was well written and well developed with depth and dimension. Amidst the pain, discovery, healing and protectiveness was a foundation of sweetness and love. It read quickly and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Walker Brothers are now concluded and I hate to see them go, so hopefully Scott will either add cousins or include them as guests in her Billionaire series!

This is book 3 in the Walker Brothers Trilogy. I have been looking forward to reading Dane's story. If anyone deserves a happy ending this guy does.

After leaving the hospital where he has been recovering from injuries he received from a plane crash that took his father's and stepmother's lives he moves to his private island in the Bahamas to finish he recovery thinking he can't live in society as he knew it. He pretty much shuts himself off from everyone.

His well meaning brothers' send Kenzie Jordan to his island under the guise that he needs an assistant. They are worried about him. He's not very nice to her at the beginning but gives in to her staying. Before long she makes herself invaluable to him. She seems to know when to push Dane on certain topics and when to back off. I think it's because she can relate to him like no one else can.

There is a build up of sexual attraction between these two that gets pretty intense before they act on it. I love how during this story how they barely tolerated each other at the beginning, actually became friends with their opening up to each other and are right at that edge to take their relationship deeper and into a more meaningful place.

Also as we read along we discover that Kenzie has scars of her own. I think that is why they connect so well. They gain so much through each other. With Kenzie by his side he's reconnecting on a deeper level with his brothers and life outside his island.

I love Dane and I'm so happy Kenzie came into his life.

So much pain and suffering has been part of Danes life, there isn't a more perfect match for him than kenzie, a strong , tough independent woman . But kenzie has a few skeletons in her closet .

A lovely story of two kindhearted people who cone together in mutual grief, tragedy and suffering .

I'm sad to be finished the Walker brothers stories but really hope they will crop up in other series .

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you are ready for any emotional read about two lost souls that find each other, then Damaged is for you. J.S. Scott out did herself on this book, it was full of emotions from sadness to love and yes – passion.

Dane is scarred emotionally, physically and has isolated himself from the world after a plane crash when he was a teenager. I just wanted to hold him and take all the pain and suffering away from him.

His brothers are worried about him, so they hire an assistant (Kenzie) for him, who also had a very rough childhood and adulthood. The immediate sexual tension between as they meet is very strong and I was happy to see the relationship developed into a sizzling romance. Secrets are revealed between the two as both get closer since they are alone on an island.

I loved how J.S. Scott gave me the past and the present within this story as I could understand Dane’s and Kenzie’s pain. The writing is outstanding and I felt all their emotions throughout the book. Thank you for another great book.

Novel: Can be read as a standalone and the third book in the Walker Brothers Trilogy.
Characters: Easy to fall in love with the characters and engages the readers emotions.
Writing: Very smooth, developed, even paced and keeps you page turning.
Storyline: Contemporary romance with passion and HEA.
Heat: Sizzling

I love a good ending to a great series and this book sure hasn't disappointed!!! Dane and Kenzie have had to overcome so much in such a short amount of time! It's so good to see them heal physically, but mostly emotionally. They are absolutely perfect for each other!!!

Damaged is the third and final book in The Walker Brothers series, and by far the most emotional. I have looked forward to reading Dane's story since the first book and I knew that it was going to be a good one. Poor Dane, although he has a heart of gold, he is damaged, both mentally and physically, his motto to live by is "I'm fine being alone. I'll get used to it". That is so sad, and even though he lives on his own beautiful island, named Walker's Cay, my heart bled for him and his situation.
Kenzie Jordan has one best friend, Paige, who happens to be engaged to Dane's brother Sebastian, and when Kenzie finds herself in need of a job, she is sent to Dane's island to be his assistant. Kenzie has secrets of her own, and she too is damaged, she has had a horrible life but she just keeps pushing on. Her motto is "I'll make it. I just have to find the strength to keep trying." And find the strength she doe's, she has not let life make her bitter, cautious maybe but not bitter.
This was a fantastic book, and I loved that J.S. Scott, gave us all the back story information on these two flawed souls. But Kenzie has held back a little of her past, just enough to get her into trouble, and she soon realizes what a big mistake that was.
Don't miss this one, it is romantic, passionate, emotional, and hopeful. I loved all the secondary characters, even little Picasso. Be sure and grab you some tissues because this one will have you experiencing all the feels, from crying to anger to happiness. Five never lonely stars for this one, an exceptional read!!

Damaged is an appropriate title for Dane and Kenzie, both. Dane was nearly killed in the plane accident that took his father's life. He buys and moves to a private island after he was released from the hospital. He has had multiple reconstructive surgeries, but can't see the improvements and still thinks he is a monster who must shun society. He tries to keep convincing himself that he will be OK being alone.

Kenzie grew up ultra poor in the home of drug runners and abusers. She also has physical scars from an attack. Understandably, she trusts almost no one. She was fired from her last job for being unwilling to sleep with the boss and is down to her last five dollars when Dane's older brothers hire her to be Dane's assistant to his art business as a world famous artist.

Dane has no idea Kenzie is coming and his knee-jerk reaction is to get her off his island, as soon as possible, any way necessary. Kenzie needs the work, has nowhere else to go and won't accept a cash amount to leave without earning it. So begins the first of many conflicts, compromises and slow understanding between this couple. You will enjoy the slow dance to them truly seeing each other soul deep and their growing love. They will fight their feelings for a while, but it is hard to deny the rare person who honestly "gets" you and cares about you.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we get Dane's story we also learn a bit more about Kenzie. We find that these two have more in common than anyone knew. However they are both hiding not only from the world but from one another as well. Both of them want one another but to admit that means that they have to open themselves up to so much more. Can they not only find a way to open up to each other but find a way to be a part of more of the world?

This is an amazing book about how you see yourself and the way others see you and the difference between the two. There are many ups and downs in this book that I want to tell you all about. However I will never ruin a book for another reader. I will say this book will take you on an emotional roller-coaster that you won't want off of. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

In this final conclusion to the walker Brothers Series further expressed Author J.S Scott in giving me everything I could ever want from a good read .
For the first time the author is giving a read with from the prospective of each individual characters chapter by chapter and then there is that moment when I felt so engaged and include in the scenes that she would do these tender reflection into the past., and it was absolutely amazing.. Amazon needs a gold buzzer for this one . A five star is just not enough.
Having all these angles made the story flow with impatient-excitement. I just could not put it down until I reached the very end.
The chemistry was amazing. ..
The HEA was wowow
The plot was so engaging
The content was full length and wonderful
And the sibling's connection just what I needed!!!

Sigh! Dane Walker. What a beautiful soul. He has so much going for him, but because of his scars he believes himself to be unworthy of any true love. Such a sad way to see yourself. He has isolated himself on his very own island, Walker Cay.

Dane deserves the best kind of love. He deserves someone to love him unconditionally. Have someone that sees beyond any scars that may be visible to the eye. And he also needs someone who can see the deep scars inside, the hurt he’s been suffering. Someone needs to make Dane Walker whole again.

Kenzie Jordan needs a break in the worst way. To read what this woman has been through is just unimaginable. When she is offered a job away from everything and everyone it’s to good to be true, but she takes it.

Trace and Sebastian Walker think their brother Dane needs a personal assistant. Sending Kenzie to their brother is a good move or is it? Kenzie is excited and nervous at the same time. She knows all about the great artist, Dane Walker but to finally meet him and work for him is a dream come true. But dreams don’t come true for Kenzie. Something will go wrong it always does.

Dane and Kenzie are kindred spirits. I so wanted them to become close. Both scared of what other was thinking and feeling. Fear was the biggest obstacled they both needed to get over. Although at first Dane was dead against having a personal assistant, Kenzie has become invaluable to him.

Kenzie finds it so hard to trust, although she has opened up to Dane a little. She should really tell him the whole truth. Dane knows Kenzie is keeping something from him, but he’ll wait. He’s a patient man.

Watching Dane and Kenzie’s love blossom is some kind of beautiful. It melts my heart to know they have found one another. There was never been two more people in this world that are more deserving of having a happy ever after.

Just when things are going great something really bad happens. Maybe Kenzie was right and she will never be free from her pass. It’s an intense time for the Walker brothers and their wives, but most of all it’s gut wrenching for Dane.

If you love all things romance then this is the book for you. Author J.S Scott never disappoints.

I absolutely love The Walker Brothers series! Each brother/book is different and all have been wonderful. This book was worth the wait! Dane Walker survived a horrific plane crash that killed his father and step mother eight years ago. Not only was he emotionally damaged but the burns he sustained from the crash made him feel like he could not be seen by other people without them being repulsed by the sight and his skin. Cosmetic surgery resolved most of the damage but emotionally he was detached from most of the human race, even his brothers Trace & Sabastian. Soon after the crash, Dane purchased a isolated island in the Caribbean. He built a beautiful house where he employs native islanders Theo and his wife Emilee, they take a boat to work from a nearby island. Dane spends most of his days painting and has becomes a a world renowned painter. Each of his paintings commissions up to 7 figures. In comes beautiful but strong willed Kenzie Jordan. She was recently fired from a art gallery (due to unwanted sexual advance from her employer) where she has admired of Dane’s paintings that was recently displayed. She was recently employed by Dane’s brother to fly to Dane’s island, as his personal assistant. When Kenzie arrives on the island, Dane is furious because he had no knowledge of what his brother had hired her. Dane is out of sorts and intrigued with Kenzie. He was fascinated by meet Kenzie because she’s beautiful and doesn’t flinch at the scares. She is determined to stay and Dane compromised with a short term arrangement. Kenzie also has a damaged (deep down) physical and emotionally. There is sexual attraction from the very beginning. Soon, Dane and Kenzie realize how much they need each other! Awesome read!

Of all the Walker Brothers novels, "Damaged" has more grit. The characters are a lot more complicated and have deeply buried issues that get in the way of living. Dane Walker is the youngest of the brothers and has numerous surgeries to get rid of the burns and scarring he experience when he was in a plane accident that killed his father and new stepbrother. He is jaded, bitter and living a solitary life on an island he named after his Dad. After missing the holidays with his brothers, they decide to take matters into their own hands and hire an assistant for Dane. That assistant is Sebastian's fiancee's best friend, Kenzie.

Kenzie has issues of her own including living without much money in pricey New York. After she gets fired from an art gallery she is glad when Sebastian offers her a job working for his brother. Unfortunately, Dane has no idea she is coming. When she arrives he is none too please. However, despite his hostility he manages to allow her to stay. Very quickly, Dane realizes that Kenzie has her own scars and he wants to make her world a better place. The question is can both of them get beyond their personal demons in order to take a chance on love?

As I stated earlier this was a grittier read than the other two books in the series but I still enjoyed it. I just wish that this was not the final book in the series. I just feel like there are additional stories to be told. Who knows maybe the author will write a novella that will wrap things up a bit nicer. What? It could happen.

Dane walker has shut him self away from the works after a life changing accident takes his father and nearly destroys his body. Kenzie has fought her entire life to survive the hell she dug out of from childhood.
Kenzie is sent to Danes private island to help him get organized and give home the ability to be at his brothers wedding but from
The moment she arrives she turns his world upside down in the best way possible.
this was a great final book tot his trilogy and so much fun to watch both characters overcome their fears and learn to let someone in.
If you have read the other to books in the series you can still start here but you will want to read the whole series it is well with the read.

Dane Sinclair is still struggling with the after effect of the accident he was in that killed his father and step-mother. Hiding away on his island is his only solace. Dane missing the company of his brothers and other people he still can’t handle the affect his scars have on people.

Kenzie just can’t catch a break in her life. From drug addict parents to losing the one chance at a modeling career she just wants to find her place in the world. The opportunity to be the assistant to a world famous artist on his private island seems too good to be true.

These two lost souls found each other and are just what the other needs them be whole. Such a beautiful story of finding your other half.

As with any JS Scott book, no matter what hell she puts her characters through they come out on the other end, happier than ever imagined. I love that about her books, sometimes you just need for everyone to win! Both Dane and Kenzie are broken, mind body and soul. They both fool themselves into thinking they will be OK alone, but loneliness is enough to drive a person crazy. It's just a good thing his brothers decided to poke the bear and send him Kenzie as his personal assistant. She soon became priceless to him, in more ways than one. As they both started to let their walls down, they found an undeniable bond that they couldn't resist forever.

Heartfelt

I must admit at this point out of all of her Sinclair's, Colters, and Walkers this has got to be my favorite so far. I used a lot of tissues for this one. It is so hard for people to understand how tragic events can change and isolate a person and Jan brings two of them together and out comes a beautiful love story.

Every turn of the page brings you into their lives and you keep hoping that they will be able to reach the other. Trust has to be earned and promises made. The biggest issue for the both of them is trust and will they be able to break thru each other's wall to learn that they need each other to be truly happy.

Until Next Time... Tabi

Amazing!

Dane and Kenzie are so incredible! Both have scars and insecurities. It takes the two of them to realize that they're more than what their scars represent. Kenzie joins Dane on his private island as a sort-of set up (as seen in the previous book) and this book picks up with their story. I'm so glad they found each other...I love how much they have in common and I'm glad Kenzie appreciates his art and can understand him so well. Kenzie came from a rough life and I'm glad she found that much deserved love she craved. Five stars!!
