The Billionaire's Claim: Obsession

This is the first book of a duet. This not the typical book I read, but I'm a huge fan of Nadia Lee so I know she would get me hooked. I was right. I loved Dominic and Elizabeth together, but it's not sunshine and rainbows for these two. I can't tell you how much I disliked Elizabeth's parents and grandmother. They are some bad seeds. Dominic is all about getting revenge on Elizabeth. His one tack mind might just cost him the best thing to come into his life. My heart goes out to Elizabeth being manipulated by so many and not getting to live the life she wanted. She's sacrificed so much for those she loves. This book ends on one heck of cliff hanger. I'm going to be impatiently awaiting the second part of this duet.

The Billionaire’s Claim: Obsession is the first book in the brand new The Billionaire's Claim Series by author Nadia Lee. It’s set in the same world as the previous Billionaire books,The Pryce Family series and the Billionaires’ Brides of Convenience. In fact, this could be considered a spin-off from ‘Convenience’ as it features the sister of the men starring in those books. This is Elizabeth’s story however and although there is mention of her brothers here, you can read it without having read any of the others. (As I have) and be warned… there are a ton of books leading up to this one. Elizabeth is young, spirited and carefree when she meets Dominic, so care free in fact, she lies about her age and they have the hottest night of their lives. Dominic didn’t believe in soulmates or love at first sight until Liza as he calls her, walked into the bar where he was working. One glance and that all changed. He fell and fell hard and fast. They were in love and happy. Nothing could change how they felt about each other, or so they thought. Liza came from a well known and wealthy, but she wanted Dominic to like her for herself, not her family or it’s wealth and status and didn’t want to scare Dominic away, either so she kept the truth from him. Dominic was working two jobs and raising his younger sister, so he had a lot on his plate and missed a lot of clues that Liza gave out unintentionally about herself. Life was good until it all went to he!! in a handbasket. Wrongly and unjustly accused of sexual predation, Dominic threatens to get even but he has no idea how long or what he’ll have to do to get even. Ten years later, Dominic is still reeling from the lies told about him and his desire for revenge has not lessened in the least. He’ll do everything in his power to settle the score… even if it means getting into bed with his sworn enemy. But, what will they do when they realize their feelings haven’t died. They are still there, guarded and protected by a wall of ice and disdain. What will happen if those walls were to collapse? When the forced secrets and unwilling betrayal are brought to light, will Dominic be able to face up to it. Can he right the wrongs of the past? Nothing is a simple and straightforward as all that and we have to wait for the next installment to find out what happens next.

Nadia Lee writes in a way that make you feel like you are the main character so much so that you feel Liza's hurting!
