Crash was the third book in the Daring the Kane Brothers series by Kelly Gendron.

Crash Kane was one of five Kane siblings. He was gorgeous, all into cars and used to be a professional NASCAR racer. Unbeknownst to his family or anyone, he had a secret where he married his best friend’s younger sister, the beautiful and sassy Maggie, the night before his best friend died. They divorced immediately (or so he thought) and she left. It was now three years later and Maggie’s back seeking that divorce.

It was a quick and fun read. It was enjoyable and although it was somewhat predictable, Gendron included a twist or two scattered throughout. It also included characters from other series (which I hadn’t read yet) but will be a bonus for loyal Gendron fans. I was seeking a little more character depth but all in all, it was a fast and entertaining read.

Crash is a very open, honest man, “oh.” He pauses, and I swear I can hear him swallow. “Knowing that makes me very hard, Maggie.” Crash's girl just amuses him at times, “come on! You got to be kidding. Cute jerk, really?” Lips pressed together, she nods. “So all these years you’ve called me CJ, you’ve really been saying cute jerk?” I liked this book, I loved Crash.

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.

Ever since reading Kelly Gendron's Declan brother series, I have been obsessed with her writing. So any chance I get to step into one of her fictional worlds and fall in love with another one of her scrumptious heroes and sassy heroines, I am all for it! The fact that it was a best friend/second chance romance just had me salivating all the more and impatiently wanting to meet Crash and Maggie. It wasn't long and Kelly had me completely immersed in their world and more than willing to get to know these two a little more up close and personal.

Crash Kane is all kinds of delicious with his good looks, blue collar alpha “take charge” attitude, and his ever crumbling will power to restrain from succumbing to the likes of the sexy Maggie. I couldn't wait to get to know this hero whose heart is stuck in the past, whether he wants to admit it or not. I wanted to heal all his wounds and watch the fireworks explode between him and Maggie.

Maggie Mae is a mystery that I couldn't wait to uncover. The more I learned about this headstrong heroine, the more I was cheering her on for breaking down Crash's walls that surround his heart. Maggie shows her spunk while also wearing her heart on her sleeve, which completely belongs to Crash and has since she was a teenager. If there was ever a heroine that needed rescuing from herself, it is most definitely Maggie. Trouble finds this girl wherever she is!

Kelly Gendron delivers a love story with history and the pain that goes along with it that we can't wait to see the characters overcome and conquer in each other's arms. I highly recommend the newest romance in Kelly's “Daring The Kane Brothers” series for a story that is sure to crash into your body and soul in ways that you will never recover. I cannot wait until we get more of these handsome and dangerous looking brothers and get swept away all over again!

WOW!!
All of my favourite things, I could not put this books down.

Secret drunken Vegas wedding, Brothers best friend and childhood friends romance, secret baby, second chances, Crash just kept ticking all my favourite box's. I loved it.

A little but about the plot.
Maggie returns to home town after being away for 3 years following the death of her brother. Maggie's first call is to go and see her deceased brother's best friend Crash. Maggie surprises him with her announcement that she wants a divorce after a drunken night in Vegas that Crash thought had been annulled.
Not only did Crash not get over his best friends death but he was hit twice as hard when Maggie-Mae vanished from town too and he isn't letting her off that easily to get away a second time.

I loved this book, one thing after another just kept coming, I was definitely on high alert throughout and loved how the author did a brilliant job of balancing everything out, the drama, hotness, the angst, suspense and I loved the characters, Crash was a little moody and went all bossy Alpha on occasion but I loved that. .

I haven't read previous books in this series with the Kane brothers and Kelly Gendron doesn't give anything away with what may have happened before in previous books but those characters are in this book and Crash's brothers seem HOT!! so I will definitely be reading those books too.

Recommended read. Told in first person. Leads to a hea.

This is my first book by the author, which means I didn’t read the others, but it didn’t affect my reading, because it’s very easy to follow along. I love best friend’s little sister books, so I was hooked right from the start.

Maggie has been in love with Crash for most of her young adult life, but he has never really noticed her. At least, that’s what she thought. One crazy night in Vegas followed by so much heartache, now has led Maggie back home. She wants a divorce from Crash, but he didn’t know it was real. Now, it’s his turn to push back, and show Maggie just how much she means to him. What he doesn’t know is that Maggie is still holding secrets, and one just might change everything.

This was a cute book, and I loved the chemistry between these two. I did get frustrated at Maggie several times because I didn’t know why she did what she did, but then, she completely made up for it. It also was a huge relief in the end to find out what actually happened (I can’t name it because I don’t want to do spoilers). Overall, it was really sweet, and I actually want to read the other books now.

Crash is part of the Kane Brothers book but can be read as a standalone. Crash is this mystery. He was a former NASCAR driver and we know an accident with his best friend ended his career. This story really dives into Crash and explains things. I loved how big Crash's heart was. He loves who he loves and is intent on protecting those he loves. This story is a best friend sister/second chance romance its own twists and turns. Crash and Maggie spends sometime in Vegas and end up marry. Maggie disappears and shows up three years later for a divorce. Crash is very much an alpha male. Maggie is a determined stubborn female. I really enjoyed the two of them together. Their story has a lot of history and pain they must work through.I really enjoyed the way the story flowed. I found it to be a really enjoyable read.

This is a fast bumpy road to love with twist turns and great characters, Crash and Maggie grew up together. She was hands off because she was his best friends little sister. After his death she took off for three years. Now she is back and things get moving pretty fast. Crash is not the same cocky boy that Maggie left behind. Things changed drastically for him. He has secrets and regrets that haunt him. Maggie, too has secrets. Her's are dangerous and heartbreaking. Can these two overcome their pasts and get their HEA? I loved touching base with past characters and meeting new ones. Good plot with surprises and fun dialogue.

This is the third book in the series but can easily be read as a stand-alone. Crash was best friends with Maggie’s brother and knew the rules about sisters, but they ended up getting secretly married on a drunken night in Vegas. Now three years later she is back and wants a divorce. Will Crash agree or find a way to win her heart? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and twists and turns. The chemistry is steamy and the story draws you in from beginning to end. I liked it.

Crash by Kelly Gendron is the third book in the Daring the Kane Brothers series and the first book I have read from both the author and in the series. Though I enjoyed this book, I did at times feels like a lot happened prior to this book. After a few chapters I felt a bit more caught up to what is happening.

Maggie Mae and Crash Kane were “married” years ago, but Crash thought it was not real. So, after Maggie’s brother and Crash’s best friend died, he let her go. Now she is back and demanding a divorce. Though they both know they should stay far away from each other, their attraction is unquestionable. But with so many secrets, lies and obstacles between them, can they ever truly move forward?

Crash by Kelly Gendron was angsty, emotional, and had a bit of suspense. Though at times I was a bit lost, the story and characters were interesting and the chemistry between Maggie and Crash steamy.

Crash (Daring the Kane Brothers #3) by Kelly Gendron

M/F Second chance romance
Triggers: Abuse
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Crash is retired from NASCAR, but not for the reasons one might think. While he loves what he's doing now, he does have regrets when it comes to those days. His biggest...losing his best friend. Even though he has those regrets, what he can't seem to get over is his best friend's sister, Maggie. She was the one who got away and the one who he measures all others against.

Maggie is done keeping secrets...or so she thought. When she goes back home to get some papers signed, what she doesn't expect is the push back. She knows that in order to protect those she loves the most, this has to happen. But, when she is faced with Crash again, she just can't seem to forget how amazing they were together.

The secrets and twists and turns in this book keep you on your toes. I loved how honest Crash was with himself and Maggie. It was refreshing to see a character so open and honest about everything. Maggie and Crash have great history and chemistry. Throw in the secondary characters and everyone was in on it. It was a great second chance romance book.

Crash and Maggie have so much life history in common, but a pile of unanswered questions to resolve, not the least of which revolves around a drunken night in Vegas!
With a great cast of characters to revisit, Crash brings us a book which moves along at a good pace, engages our hearts and minds and tells us a story which is full of warmth. I loved both Crash and Maggie and it was great to see them answer those questions which had been left hanging and had put parts of their lives on hold for three years.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Crash is the third book in the Daring the Kane Brothers series and I think he might be my favorite so far. When Crash gets run off the track, he can't believe who is driving the car that ran him off. After three years Maggie is back and you will not believe what she wants?
Crash and Maggie's brother Josh were best friends and the bro code was that you don't mess with your best friend's sister. So Maggie was off-limits to Crash but he has loved her for a while. When Josh asked Crash to check on her while she was in Vegas, Maggie dared Crash to do something and Crash has never been one to back down from a dare.
Now after three years, Maggie is back and wants a divorce from Crash. While Crash thought it was annulled before it was actually filed, Maggie has proof that it was true. While Maggie has loved Crash since she was 12, she couldn't stay after her brother died. And with the secret she has kept, it will break her heart to reveal the truth now.
Will Crash hate her for keeping her secret for so long? Can Crash accept that he is really married to the one girl he has loved for years? Will the truth come out about Josh's death?
I fell for Crash a little in each of the other books but he stole my heart in this one. Each of these books is standalone but I would suggest reading them all, you do not want to miss any of the Kane brothers, they are all yummy. And I can't wait for the next book, it will be Nix's story so bring on more.

••••••••••••

REVIEW: CRASH is the third instalment in Kelly Gendron’s contemporary, adult DARING THE KANE BROTHERS erotic, romance series focusing on the Kane brothers –Token, Nix, Steele and Crash Kane-a spin off from the author’s BREAKING THE DECLAN BROTHERS series. This is twenty-six year old, former NASCAR driver and mechanic Crash Kane, and twenty-four year old Maggie Mae’s story line. CRASH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Crash and Maggie) CRASH is a multi-troped story line following the second chance, secret marriage, best friend’s little sister, rekindling romance between is twenty-six year old, former NASCAR driver and mechanic Crash Kane, and twenty-four year old Maggie Mae. Three years earlier the world as they knew it was torn apart and shredded when Maggie’s brother, Crash’s best friend Josh was killed on the track but not before Crash and Maggie participated in a drunken, quickie Vegas wedding, a wedding Crash thought had been annulled on the spot. Fast forward to present day wherein the woman with whom Crash hasn’t seen or spoken returns to their home town, keeping secrets that threaten the people he loves. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and romance between Crash and Maggie, and the potential fall-out as Maggie’s past demands retribution, and Crash discovers the secrets Maggie was hoping to keep hidden.

Maggie has loved Crash for most of her life but death of her brother Josh brought with it the death of her relationship with Crash Kane. Returning home meant facing the man she hadn’t stopped loving, a return meant to move on with her life to protect the people she loved. Crash Kane had no idea the secrets Maggie kept but learning they were still married gave Crash a second chance at a happily ever after, a second chance that came with more secrets and surprises. Having taken the blame for Josh’s demise, Crash remained silent until his own secrets were revealed.

The relationship between Crash and Maggie is one of second chances; a best friend’s little sister, secret marriage that Crash thought was over, and Maggie wanted done. The palpable sexual attraction and desire did not go unnoticed by family and friends. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Crash’s parents, and Maggie’s mother Bridget Knight. We are reintroduced to Crash’s brothers Token, Nix and Steele, as well as Jax and Emmie Declan, and Zeke Declan and Lurlene Kane (The Declan Brothers Series) and Crash’s roommate Jaggs. The requisite evil has many faces.

CRASH is a story of family, friendship, loss and love. The premise is heart breaking, emotional and entertaining; the romance is seductive and hot; the characters are dynamic, lively and charismatic. CRASH is a sexy, sensitive and moving story of second chances and happily ever after.

> > Judging a Book by its Cover < <
The cover is not overly appealing. The blue caught my eye but the font choices are difficult to readily read without effort. I’d just as easily glance past this cover as I would to stop for a moment. I only gave it a second glance because I was given the opportunity to promote it (with an option to review). The synopsis is what caught my attention and made me want to read it.
> > Looking Deeper < <
POV ~> Dual first-person.

While this was the first book I’ve read in the series, and by this author, I can guarantee it won’t be the last. I enjoyed the dynamics of the Kane family and allowing a hint of the Declan Brothers to peek though made me want to read both series from the start.
Crash has been living with guilt and has felt lost and adrift since his best friend died and his best friend’s little sister took off without a backward glance three years ago, only days after they were “married”.
Maggie returns after three years, wanting to divorce Crash before her past catches up with her. She needs to cut ties and run but, to her surprise, he’s not so eager and willing.
With bad guys closing in and the good guys closing ranks, her best option was to keep close for now… but too close could reveal more than she’d bargained for.
They need a second-chance to be the people they were the first time around.
As I said, I truly enjoyed the cast and would love to read the previous stories in both series. This one did a fantastic job of standing on its own while giving us minor glimpses at what we’ve either already read or missed without oversharing. Dynamics were great. Interactions were exciting, fun, endearing… it had it all. There were a few conflicts, all of which were addressed. The predictability was low. The conclusion gives a sneak peek into the next brother’s story.

3.5 STARS

When I read the blurb for Crash, I was instantly intrigued. Being my first read from this author, I didn't really know what to expect, but I will tell you my pros and cons. I absolutely loved how the story flowed. It was set at a nice pace, and the story line held true to what I thought it would. I have always been a sucker for falling for your best friends brother / brothers best friend, I think maybe because I live it. The twists and turns was also really welcomed. The chemistry was just there as well, it was like when you know your heart is in sync with someone else, you feel it, and I felt Crash and Maggie's attraction towards one another. There was some things that I didn't like. I knew going into this story that it was considered a standalone series, BUT I feel like from what I read that, reading the previous books would have made a lot of things make more sense. Secondly, I feel like on a lot of aspects some issues were resolved to quickly. I mean they were some pretty significant issues, that normally wouldn't have been handled that quickly. Third, I do not know much about the racing world, so to me, I couldn't identify with some of the terms used. I mean I don't need a definition, but if it could have been explained a little bit more clearly, I would have understood what was being said. Lastly, I feel like I seen a crap ton of exclamation points, and every time I seen one I thought of screaming, which in turn wasn't the case for every time it was used.

Maggie isn't your typical girly girl. She knows all about the racing world and is not afraid to get dirty. She is brave, and doesn't get intimidated easily. Deep down she has a good heart, and always does what she thinks is best.

Crash is that guy that loves cars. Almost every car. He is super hard on himself but deep down, he has a good heart. He is loyal to a fault, a great friend and brother.

When circumstances brings Maggie back to town, Crash is forced to face the truth. Will that be by Maggie's side or by his lonesome?

Overall this story isn't bad, and I would really like to read something else from this author to truly get a feel for them. I actually think most will enjoy this story, and for that I do recommend it.

✯✯5 Crash Filled Stars!!!✯✯

I’ve been a huge fan of Kelly Gendron since I read her Breaking The Declan Series . I was ecstatic when she announced The Kane Bros were getting their own series. Every book is better then the previous one. After the cliffhanger in Steele I thought I was prepared for the race car driver Crash.... I was completely wrong.

Crash hasn’t been the same person he was three years ago. In a matter of 24hrs he lost 2 of his closest friends. His best friend, fellow nascar driver Josh died in a car wreck and then his little sister, Maggie who Crash has been in love with for most of his life. Ever since Maggie got in that car and drove off Crash’s never been the same.

Maggie couldn’t stay in that town without her brother. She knows it’s her fault he’s gone and knows if Crash knew he’d never forgive her. The night that her brother passed away her and Crash were in Vegas. Maggie dares Crash to marry her knowing he’d never backdown from a dare. They had an amazing night before everything crashed and burned. Now Maggie needs to runaway again. But, she has to get a divorce from the only man that she’s always loved in order to save him.

When Maggie demands a divorce from Crash his jaw dropped and heart stopped. He remembers the wedding. But, he also paid the guy a lot of money to not sign and send in the paperwork. Never in a million years did he ever know he was married to the love of his life. Now she’s here demanding a divorce. Crash makes a vow it’ll be over his dead body that he signs those papers.

When Crash finds out Maggie’s in trouble he moves her into his house. He calls is brothers and his sister and boyfriend and his brothers are in town. Between The Kane brothers and the Declan brothers they come up with a plan to protect her as well as handling the situation. If that wasn’t hard Crash finds out Maggie’s holding another secret. A secret that could break them for good.

Crash and Maggie both loved each other and always have. Crash felt he couldn't ever have her bc its against a code. Josh was his best friend and he shouldn't cross those lines. Maggie thought Crash didn't look at her that way. But, he was always there to help and protect her. Both Maggie and Crash feel responsible for her brothers accident which caused his death. There's so many feelings and thoughts they've had for years that they've kept bottled up.

I read this book in one day. Crash is as amazing as his sister and brothers whose stories have been told already. Nix is next and I gotta admit this cliffhanger was crazier than before. Kelly wrote another home run for me. I’m actually sad Nix is the last brother bc I don’t wanna say goodbye to the Kane family yet.

I was completed captivated by "Breaking the Declan Brothers" series by Kelly Gendron that I would be lying if I said I didn't have a little drool going on when I saw that Crash was on his way!

And just like those Declan Brothers this one had me sucked in from the get-go!

There is so much pain between the lines in this one that it almost steals your breath.

From one end of the temultuous roller coaster to the other - the one constant was the connection between Maggie and Crash!

Their fate was one that was written in the stars - undeniable, no matter how hard these two fought against it!

I adored the morals weaved throughout the plot - I love the loyalty Crash has to his family and especially to his girl, even if she has never officially been his.

Always the one to pick up the pieces Crash never put himself first.

Still reeling from the part he played in the death of his best friend we are drawn him and his pain in such a palpable way!

Maggie is the younger sister of his best friend, who still after all these years, holds her heart aside just for Crash!

Consumed with her need to protect him and overwhelmed by a connection that has never lost traction over time - these two are the perfect example of when two people collide - sparks are always guaranteed to fly!!!

With a past that can't be brushed aside and a need for each other that far surpasses any loyalty they may have steeped themselves in - this read was one I've not recovered from quickly!

With secrets at every turn you won't be able to resist the pull of turning the next page to find out what the actual fark is going on between these two!

Such a great installament into the Kane Brothers!

This is the third book in this series but they can be read as standalone books. I haven’t read the other books in the series and wasn’t lost or confused at all. This book was an emotional rollercoaster ride. Crash is taken by surprise when after three years Maggie comes back and says they are married and she wants a divorce. He remembered the night but they aren’t supposed to be married. She doesn’t give Crash any info really but he knows something is up. He is still grieving the loss of his best friend Maggie’s brother. Maggie is keeping quite a few secrets from Crash. He is determined to figure why she has come back now and why she wants to divorce now. Maggie is grieving the loss of her brother and the man she has always loved. She thinks they can never be together and not only because of the secrets she is keeping. Will they be able to find a way to be together? How will Crash react to the secrets Maggie is keeping? I can’t say enough about this book. I want to read the other books in this series and that already out. I have added them to my TBR list already. Maggie and Crash are fantastic characters. They both want to be with each other but blame themselves for what happen to their friend and brother. I was pulling for them. I was devastated what I learned one of the secrets Maggie was keeping. I felt for Crash so much. They are a great couple. Really, I liked all the characters in this book. If you cry easily you may want to keep some tissues nearby. Congrats on a great book Kelly.

Crash has it all! Second chance, forbidden romance, best friends’ little sister, tragedy, lots of feels/emotions, dynamic chemistry between the two main characters and so much more!!

Crash Kane is a former NASCAR driver. After the death of his best friend, Josh, racing it was the assumption that he was somehow shared responsibility for the crash. A heavy burden that he has carried since that day and never forgotten.

Maggie, Josh’s little sister, was the tag-along sister growing up. As she got older, she was smitten with Crash. But when they end up in Vegas together things go bonkers! As in a crazy drunken night that ultimately includes Crash and Maggie getting married.

A marriage that Crash thought had been annulled. That is until 3 years later when Maggie shows up asking for a divorce. A divorce that Crash had no reason to think was needed. But there are other things that bring Maggie home. Things that she needs to do to protect the people she loves.

Crash still has unresolved feeling for Maggie. Hmmm, could this be a second chance for them to start over? I mean there is still undeniable chemistry between them and it’s pretty clear that there is something going on between them. Yet Maggie continues holding some secrets close to her chest. Secrets she fears could put those she loves in danger.

Crash is a fairly quick read though at times it kind of drug but I enjoyed it. The sex was hot, Crash and Maggie were good together, there are a few unexpected twists that I never saw coming. A definite buy in my book!!

This book was an easy read but was just missing something. I read a lot of contemporary romance and went through a binge read recently of second chance/ Vegas weddings. Generally the second chance was some separation after a impromptu wedding in Vegas.

This is apparently what happened to Crash/Cash and and his dead best friends little sister, Maggie. We don't witness this night, we are told about it. It's referred to a few times between the hero and heroine. Because this dared marriage occurred the night before her brother dies in a race car crash. Obviously everything breaks down after that but again we are told about this. We don't live through their separation over the past three years since her brother died. I guess what I am trying to say here is maybe we could have had the night, marriage, news of the accident, funeral and then there separation asa prelude. We could have felt all that emotion. We could have had a much deeper book. We could have had understanding as to why she left, stayed away and kept her secrets.

So I guess that's what this book was missing. It was missing the heart of the matter. That additional angst could have elevated an interesting plot. The books have great secondary characters which readers would benefit from reading previous books to have s deeper connection to this awesome family.

I think that's why I liked a token and Harley's story so much because it had a lot of deeper writing. It went to those motivations of the MC's giving a more rounded story. I still enjoyed this book I just wanted one with the same heart as its previous ones🙃

This is such a good book. There are lies we tell to protect the ones we care about the most, our families, friends, the love of our life. Protection of a best friend and brother almost costs two people who were made for each other to lose each other forever.

Crash Kane has been picking himself up from the devastation of his best friends death while racing a NASCAR. Crash was banned from driving after Josh was killed in an accident while driving at a NASCAR race. Crash is trying to pull its life back together, he's opened a garage and works on cars with his now only friend Jaggs, she's a real tough woman who takes no trouble from anyone.

Maggie Mae is Josh's half little sister and she's been in love with Crash since she was 12 years old. She's a real handful. Crash has loved her for as long as he can remember, but you don't go after your best friends little sister! One drunken night in Las Vegas Crash and Maggie got married, that same night Josh died in the racing accident. With the devastating phone call telling them that Josh is gone they blame themselves for the accident and split ways.

Three years later Maggie's back and she's asking Crash for a divorce. Why now? Does she not love him any more? Is she with someone else? Find out why and all the other secrets that Maggie and Crash are keeping not only from each other but from everyone else.

Great continuation in the Daring the Kane Brothers Series.

So much heartbreak, so many misunderstandings yet there is hope that love will prevail. Maggie has loved Crash her whole life but she was in the ‘friend zone’ since her brother Josh was Crash’s best friend. When she dared him to marry her, she never dreamed he would do it but then the unthinkable happened and Josh died. Maggie fled and now, 3 years later, she is back. She is in trouble and needs to get Crash to divorce her to protect him from her mistakes. Crash’s world shattered when Josh died. Not only did he lose Josh but he lost Maggie too, the girl he will always love. When she lands back on his track, he is shocked and excited. What he never expects is for her to ask for a divorce. He thought he made sure the wedding wasn’t legal. These two have to traverse a minefield of emotions as they face how they truly feel while dealing with the pain from their past. Maggie also has to handle her current problems which Crash won’t let her do alone and, I have to say, he deals with in spectacular fashion. (This just reinforced my love for the Declan and Kane brothers.) Maggie and Crash are incredible together which had me rooting for them even as more surprises unfolded. Of course, will they find forgiveness for themselves as well as each other to truly let love guide them. It was so much fun finding out if they would. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Crash is book 3 in this standalone series The Kane Brothers. Those who have read the series to date have seen small bits of him but he has been a quiet mystery so far. If you love second change romance mixed with best friend little sister, one click and start turning the pages.

Maggie Mae's return to town opens many wounds and creates lots of unanswered questions. Crash has struggled since he last saw her three years ago. But neither of them were in a good space back then. They didn't get to deal with the feelings opened up from their one night in Vegas, nor were they able to be there for each other while dealing with the loss of the person that tied them together.

The chemistry between these characters had good sparks. Crash takes on full Alpha and decides she is taking control of the situation. Even though they have had this long period of time away from each other, they both trust in one another. She willingly lets him do what needs to be done to get rid of her troubles, she never second guesses him when she discovers the one thing he has yet to tell her. Even his family didn't do that.

After all the time, secrets and omissions, is it possible for Crash and Maggie to find their HEA and move forward in a better place? So worth the time to read this book and find out.

Maggie Mae Knight's life changed after her brother Jon died and she stayed away as long as she could but now she is back and needing something from his best friend Cash "Crash" James Kane - a divorce.

Crash is shocked to discover that he is married but he isn't sure he's ready to give up Maggie quite yet.

But Maggie has come back for a reason and she needs to get out of town fast before her past catches up with her. Can Crash keep her safe when he isn't sure what she is even running from?

This is a good book that I really enjoyed!

I really liked Crash and I was sad that he was a NASCAR driver but that due to the death of Jon he was no longer able to do it. For so long I had no idea why and then it broke my heart a little to find out the truth. He was turning his own life around and I hated that he took the blame for Jon's death and how certain people viewed him and treated him.

I knew Maggie was in over her head but had no idea why and what all was involved. I was surprised when we learn the truth but I hated the position that Maggie had found herself in.

I was so happy when things began to heat up between Maggie and Crash as there was so much chemistry between them!

I liked the surprise link that came up to help things get resolved but then I was totally shocked for the next twist which I was not expecting! I completely understood why Crash was so mad!

The end was great and I loved how it all worked out!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the third book in the series, and I would recommend that you read them in order. Each deals with another brother but earlier books do set the scene and gives us the important information about their childhood.

Crash is so named because of his career. He is an ex-NASCAR driver and still races/does stunt work (with Steele) as well as running his own garage with friend and house-mate Jaggs. She is very much his little/big sister, not that Maggie Mae really believes that when she meets her!

Maggie Mae's brother Josh, was Crash's best friend. He died in a NASCAR race and neither Maggie nor Crash have ever forgiven themselves for the accident. Ironically, neither thinks that the other has forgiven them ... so three years on they still haven't spoken - until Maggie reappears in town asking for a divorce.

This ensues a chaotic but rather fascinating car crash of two lives which have been on parallel universes it would seem, and really need to meet and remember what everyone else always knew ... that they are perfect together.

Lots needs to happen to allow that HEA to be reached, and it is definitely a complicated journey, but very satisfying in the end.

Cash Kane’s best friend is dead, and he took the blame for his death. Cash has worked hard to move on and has opened his own garage where he works on all models of cars. His love of cars has never wavered and his love for racing has taken a backseat in his life now.

Josh was Cash’s best friend, they grew up together and spent most of their lives together. Josh’s little sister Maggie Mae was the one woman that Cash shouldn’t have, but she was the only woman he wanted. One night in Las Vegas when he was trying to save her from a group of people who were in the wrong crowd, Cash accepts Maggie’s dare so while trying to get her to leave with him,
he agrees to marry her. That one night was the catalyst for many changes in both of their lives.

When Maggie shows back up in town Cash will do anything to find out how to keep her and what she has been doing for the past three years. Little does he know that his life will change again now that she’s back.

I really liked this book and I am looking forward to more of the Kane Brother’s stories. I will have to go back and read the first two in the series now so that I have all the brother’s stories.

Cash is an alpha male who loves deeply and completely. He is a loving, caring, brother, son, and friend. I give this story a 4.5-star review and really look forward to more stories in the Daring the Kane Brothers.

Crash (Daring the Kane Brothers #3)
By Kelly Gendron

Crash was a fantastic read! It is the first book that I have read by this author and I was instantly hooked as soon as I started reading. I think that I was a little bit in love with Crash as soon as I started reading about him, as I haven’t read any of the other books in the series I was worried I would be missing information but it didn’t really affect my enjoyment of the story at all – it has definitely made me want to read about the other brothers though!!
I loved the connection between Maggie and Crash, I am a fan of ‘forbidden’ romance stories so I always knew I was going to enjoy this story. Their chemistry felt real and believable, I was rooting for them the whole way through. Rash was an amazing character, I loved his openness – I really felt like I got to know him and the way he was feeling.
The author put some great twists and turns in the story that kept my attention the whole way through, it made the story unpredictable which was great. I thought the characters were well developed and I loved reading about them.
I am definitely looking forward to reading the other books in the series and more from this author again in the future.
