Orientation, Transition and Retention Knowledge Community Research Grant

Each year, NASPA's Orientation, Transition, and Retention (OTR) Knowledge Community offers the following awards to support and recognize the exemplary work being done by our members in the areas of orientation, transition, and retention. This award recognizes new and ongoing research in the field of Orientation, Transition, and Retention. The recipient will receive $500 to support their research. In addition to the support, the awardee will be able to collaborate with the OTR Knowledge Community to disseminate the research findings more broadly through print publications, web-based publications, conference presentations, and/or webinars.

Eligibility: Any current NASPA member

Required Criteria: Research activities must be conducted during the 12 months following the awarding of the grant.

Provide the rationale and purpose of the study related to orientation, transition, and retention; research questions; design; and methods (1,500-word limit).

Provide a project budget, including total project costs and additional funding sources if applicable (300-word limit).

Provide an anticipated project timeline (300-word limit)

Provide project implications related to orientation, transition, and retention (300-word limit).

References and Appendices can include survey, interview protocols, and any other information pertaining to the project. There is no length limit.
